The sample consists of two 8.5 x 10 inch pieces of the material in the color finish you request. It would be nicer if they would give you two colors instead of two pieces of the same color. I ordered this as one of my Vine project items because I thought this material might be something I could use in my renovation/repair projects but wanted to see and feel what it was like, and what it looked like too. The bad news is that this is not at all the kind of material I need for most of the indoor upgrades I have planned. The good news is, it does seem to be very durable, attractive, and easy to install material to upgrade your exterior siding or even use inside to make partitions with. It is not my idea of a kind of material you would want for a "wall covering". I would not put this inside except perhaps if I wanted to make an easy new partition. I got the cream color and the finish color on this siding material is very nice looking and hard to damage. I tried to damage one of the pieces and didn't have much luck until I used actual demolition tools like sledge hammer and pry bar. Hitting it with a hammer produced some almost invisible slight dents. Striking it with a sledge hammer (not a full swing...I'm too old to swing a full swing with a sledge hammer) did cause a bigger dent and some splintering of the finish coating. I also held a bic lighter on it. That didn't make much impression on the undamaged parts, BUT something to check out before deciding on this material is that once I splintered it slightly with the heavy hammer, the coating and the underlying core material caught fire quite readily with just the holding of a bic lighter to the splinter for about five seconds, caught flame and started to spread rather quickly to the coating and core material that wasn't splintered. It also made very black and sooty smoke. So bottom line is, this is much heavier and thicker than I expeted and because of that, it is not something I would expect to use inside a house. Maybe in a business space to make new partitions or work space cubicles. I would consider it for siding on a garage or storage shed and it probably would last a lifetime without showing much deterioration. Review: Great Sample to Evaluate Size and Quality - This review is for the sample pack only, and I am really glad I ordered it. The packing is great - the vendor took care to keep the product from shifting in transit. The slats are much larger than some other options I have been considering, so it made it much easier to compare styles and proportions in person. The quality feels excellent. The panel has a heavier, more solid construction than I expected, which gives it a more premium feel. The walnut color is warm and attractive, and the black spacing between the slats adds nice depth and dimension. The grooved edges line up seamlessly, which is important for achieving a clean finished look on a wall. Based on this sample, it looks like a great option for creating an accent wall. Durability seems promising given the sturdy feel of the material. While it is just a sample, it gives a strong impression of quality; not sure about installation or noise dampening though. Overall, this is a great value as a sample and a helpful way to confidently evaluate before committing to a full installation.

Exceptional Quality & Seamless Design — A Truly Heavy-Duty Option
I recently ordered these samples to double-check the quality and coloring for a project, and I really appreciated the option to test them out first. It’s a great way to ensure the product meets your standards before committing. Seamless Engineering & High-End Construction The construction of these panels is exceptional. One of the best features is how they are designed to connect together; the interlocking system is precise, creating a completely seamless look across the wall. You can tell a lot of thought went into the engineering to ensure that the transition between panels is invisible, giving it a professional, custom-made appearance. Industrial-Strength Durability I was diving deep into the build, and this is a very thick, substantial material. It isn't flimsy or hollow-feeling at all. Impact Resistant: Because the material is so thick, it’s incredibly sturdy. If someone were to bump into it or if it were hit by furniture, it’s not going to dent or break. High-Traffic Ready: I would highly recommend these for busy hallways or commercial spaces. They feel like they could handle years of contact and "life" without showing any wear. Beautiful Aesthetic Beyond the strength, the coloring is beautiful. The finish is consistent and looks high-end, making it a perfect architectural addition for anyone looking to elevate their interior design. A Note on Weight The only reason I’m settled on four stars is that they are much heavier than I originally expected. While the weight is a direct result of the high-quality, dense construction, it makes them a bit too heavy for the specific area I’m working on. If you are looking for something lightweight, these might be a challenge, but for a permanent, "bulletproof" wall feature, they are amazing. The Verdict The quality and seamless connection are top-notch. If you need something that looks expensive and can survive a high-traffic environment, this is it. Just be sure to order the sample to confirm the weight works for your specific mounting surface!

A good project for someone with more knowledge and ability . . .
I got these to try in our home, to see if they would work on one 4 foot by 5 foot section of our living room. They arrived quickly and packed well. The sample package came with two "tiles" priced at $10. These "tiles" are well made, and they seem very durable. My idea was to use them on the wall, over our couch, to hold our large collage of family pictures. My only issue with them is that they're slightly heavy, individually, so I'm not sure they would work, in a large grouping, installed on the dry wall wall in our home. I think they would look nice. I wanted to D.I.Y this project on my own, but after receiving them and feeling the weight of each one, I'm not sure I'm knowledgeable enough or even able to install them by myself. So, while I don't feel that I'd be able to install them on my own, I feel that someone more knowledgeable and with the ability to do it, could install them, so that's why I gave them 5 stars. I felt that it would be unfair to rate an item based on my inability to properly install them. Thanks for reading. Have a blessed day ! 🤗

Strong and heavy and natural appearance, but easily marked and difficult to clean up
I was hoping this would be a solution for my office wall. The approximately 9"x9" panels are surprisingly heavy— you could probably drive a car over these without crushing them. The initial appearance is natural, and it makes a rather convincing wood substitute. Immediately after unpacking, I accidentally scuffed the surface with a fingernail and could not rub it out. After a few attempts, I realized that (unlike natural wood) I could not simply sand and re-stain or otherwise rub out the imperfections. This cladding is also significantly heavier than plywood -- almost 50% heavier per square inch than 5/8" plywood I have. Although this comes in narrow strips, it will require strong fasteners into studs. With most walls having 16" on center studs, you'd have a lot of panels getting screwed into wallboard only. This would not be an issue if mounting to a wood backing board. If you're not easily bothered by scuffing and/or have a moist environment, this could be a good solution. The material does not seem to absorb water. But to my eye, this would never look clean or finished and the scuffing would drive me crazy.

Looks better in person
This is one of those rare cases where the in-person sample actually looks better than the online images. The finish is rich and convincing, and it has a depth that is hard to fully capture in photos. As an interior designer, what really stands out to me is how this differs from similar wood or tile alternatives. The wood-look finish continues into the grooves between the slats, not just on the face, which makes the overall effect feel much more cohesive and high end. That detail alone gives it a noticeable advantage over many comparable products. The material itself also feels durable and well suited for areas where real wood would be less practical. I can see this working beautifully in outdoor spaces, or even indoors in areas exposed to moisture, like an accent wall behind a freestanding tub. From a value standpoint, this feels like a strong option if you want the warmth of wood with better durability and lower maintenance. It offers a more refined look than many alternatives while still being practical, and I am excited to find a place to use it in a future project.

I want the whole set honestly
I ordered the samples of these wall slat sidings and honestly, it was a great way to preview the product before committing to a complete set. The ancient word finish is my favorite and looks even better in person, kind of a realistic wood tone with a modern vibe. It doesn’t look cheap or too fake, which I was a little worried about at first. The material feels solid and durable, not flimsy, and you can tell it’s made to handle outdoor conditions since it’s waterproof and low maintenance. The sample pieces are small, but definitely big enough to get a good sense of the color, texture, and overall style. If anything, I just wish the sample was a bit larger to better visualize how it would look on a full wall. But overall, it did exactly what I needed! It helped me decide if the product would work for my space. Overall, a good quality sample and definitely worth getting if you’re considering these panels for a project.

Fascinating wall panels, very thick material but light
I ordered a sample pack before committing to a full order and it was absolutely the right call — the color and texture look so much better in person than on a screen. The sample pieces are a generous size, enough to hold up against your wall and get a real feel for how the finish will look in your space and light. The WPC material feels solid and substantial, not flimsy at all, and the wood grain texture is genuinely convincing up close. I was skeptical that it would look realistic but it really does. The linear slat profile gives it a clean, modern look that I can already picture transforming a plain exterior wall into something that looks high-end and intentional. The finish I ordered was smooth to the touch and showed no rough edges or imperfections on the sample pieces. If the full panels hold up to the same standard, this is going to be a serious upgrade. My biggest tip for anyone considering this product is to start with the sample — colors can read very differently depending on your exterior, your lighting, and what's around it, and this is too big a project to guess on.
