Good value!
Excellent parts. Better documentation in English would be a plus.

An error in the layout on the PCB.
I enjoyed the kit very much I was surprised of it's low price with all the transistors, double balanced mixer, Oscillator, and the lm386 M amplifier. My comment is that the layout marking on the PCB for the NE602AN was backwards the key notch was opposite it should have been, it took me a couple hours of trouble shooting to discover this error, lifted the NE602AN out of the bracket and turned it around opposite of its marking and it works just fine now.

Sidetone Oscillator Will Not Work.
This was my second Forty-9er kit. The first one went together and worked well, except the sidetone oscillator. The ham operator, KN6REU, recorded a seven part video building the Forty-9er kit search for ham_bitious). It's sidetone oscillator also failed. KN6REU showed that the part values for the sidetone oscillator did not follow the accepted design rules for Twin T oscillators. After my first kit sidetone oscillator failed, I purchased a second. I recalculated the sidetone oscillator component values using the standard design formulas to generate a 700 Hz tone. Once again, every subsystem worked EXCEPT the sidetone. The result was the same as the first; the receiver, audio amplifier, and transmitter work well. If you do not need a sidetone, this would be a good kit to build and experiment. However, I cannot really recommend it. If you want a quality kit, purchase one from QRP Labs. Their design, instructions, and performance are first rate.

Don’t bother buying this mess!
There are no instructions, the photocopy is nearly impossible to read. The resistors use a 5-band color code leaving you borrowing your neighbors ohm meter. Several parts are mislabeled. Number of turns to make two coils is labeled in Chinese and Arabic numerals. Good luck. This kit is not a total waste; it provides several hours of soldering practice. Spend your money on candy for the wife.

Complete kit
Complete kit and exactly what I envisioned. Fun project and would consider it mid level soldering project. The board is good quality and functional and very economical.

It's an adventure.
Sure wish I read the language all of the documents are printed in. And we're learning the soldering process. That's how you're selling your product but we're not EET grad students. Between the unreadable paperwork and searching the internet looking for a completed project picture I can print out and build it from that. How hard is it to press Translate while producing your documents so we can actually enjoy building your product.

Good troubleshooting practice.
The molex connectors are wired backwards! Dont rely on the color of the wires when connecting power! I got a big puff of smoke, and now i need a new voltage regulator before I can assess if further damage occurred. Also, the photocopied instructions contain so many smudges and artifacts that they are almost unusable! There were no instructions on how many turns of wire are needed on the inductors. I later found on the internet that 11 turns for the black one and 16 turns for the colored one (by the antenna) are needed. Board quality is good and dense. I would like to see an option for a BNC or SMA connector for the antenna.

Badly photocopied schematics and missing components
Simply don’t buy it. The schematics are barely readable and half in chinese. On top of this not all the components are in the bag.
