desertcart.com: Decarbonising Earth: Understanding and Acting on Climate Change eBook : Benny, Paul: Books Review: Fact-Based Analysis and Recommendations - “Decarbonizing Earth” covers a wide range of issues related to the climate change crisis which faces us; Paul Benny illustrates the dangers and provides strategies to address the rather frightening scenarios which await us if we fail to act. The book is well researched, and Mr. Benny presents evidence to support his dire warnings. This is an important read, particularly for those who think climate change is just a political snow job! Review: A Solid Primer on Climate Change and Why It Matters Now - Decarbonising Earth is a solid primer on climate change and its wide-ranging impact — environmental, economic, and social. Paul Benny offers a clear, fact-based overview of where we stand, what’s driving the crisis, and what tools we have to address it. It’s accessible without oversimplifying, and urgent without being paralyzing. What I appreciated most was the book’s balance. It doesn’t just dwell on the threats — from rising seas and ecosystem collapse to economic disruptions and climate migration — it also explores the tools we have, from renewable energy and smart grids to carbon pricing and circular economies. Benny is realistic about trade-offs and avoids the hype that often surrounds emerging technologies. There’s no silver bullet here, and he makes that clear. This is an excellent read for anyone wanting to better understand the climate crisis, especially those new to the topic or overwhelmed by technical jargon. It’s the kind of book I’d recommend to students, professionals, or anyone who wants to move from awareness to informed action.

Easy to understand and no technical jargon
This helped me understand the impact of climate change without feeling overwhelmed by the technical jargon. I have always been curious but often intimidated by the science. I liked how it balanced facts with solutions, making it feel both urgent and hopeful. My teenage son is now reading it too.
