This one was purchased as a birthday gift for my son after he was envious of mine. Easy to read and quick to deliver each metric. He loves his as I do mine.

I like the high tech visual appearance that the carbon fiber graphic conveys to this body weight scale. The scale touts a large, backlit digital display (3” X 1.8”); The display is black digital data against a blue lit backdrop, affording easy visibility and legibility. This scale provides weight, with a maximum capacity of 440lbs. It has many measurements that are common in many modern scales, like BMI, body fat, body water, bone mass. However, unlike most of the competitors, this scale does not use a phone app for those features. Instead, after registering your weight, it will then calculate the additional body composition aspects. (I have an old Weight Watchers scale that works in a similar fashion. Not having to use an app makes the process quicker and simpler, in my opinion.). The scale can handle up to 12 users, too. Three AAA batteries are included (check the side cardboard cushioning pieces for the batteries). For the full body composition assessment, you press the SET button, and use the up or down buttons to the desired user number. Step on the scale, with bare feet, making contact with the metal pieces, when the scale displays 0.0. The scale will display the weight, then it will proceed to calculate the various body composition numbers: BMI, body fat%, body water %, muscle mass%, bone mass % and caloric indication. The data is repeated, then the scale will automatically power down. The fiber carbon graphic design is applied to the top of the glass. Unfortunately, there is a slight visual defect in this coating, in the unit I received (see photo). It’s noticeable in a normally lit environment, but does not affect the scale function. Still, it mars an otherwise visually attractive scale. I’m basically happy with the look and feature set of this scale. The digital display is excellent, easy to read in any lighting conditions (tested in dimly lit and well lit conditions). If you want the various body composition data, without the need of phone app, this fits the bill. Attractive appearance with excellent feature set results in a 4.25 - 4.5 star rating, with a high level recommendation

Its digital display started acting out and showing error message after a few times using this. I probably didn't use it more than 20 times. Very disappointed. I do not recommend this product.

easy to read, sleek looking

Body composition analyzer does not work properly, measure far too high. Maybe "athlete" or "activity level" adjustments do not work, but this feature is useless. I'm returning this item. Too bad, I am replacing an older Taylor that worked well for years.

this scale tells you a lot of information

It’s a nice high weight limit, which is good, but it isn’t as accurate as some other scales. Close enough, probably.

Taylor is an established name in thermometers and scales. This one even does BMI and bone mass. It was easy to program. The only small negative is that the top of some of the numbers on the read-out dial can be obscured. In summary a good product.
