2 Way Consumer Unit IP65 Waterproof Circuit Breaker Box with Clear Cover, Indoor/Outdoor Home Electrical Panel (6A+32A)

Extremely high quality consumer unit. I'll be using it to feed out door sockets. I will be getting an electrician to install it

Firstly I am NOT an electrician and I cannot confirm whether all of the components will test as working and safe. Having said that I have some knowledge over the years and this appears to be a well made unit. It has six outlets maximum. Please note that the one supplied to me is not like the one shown in some aspects. The MCB's in the one supplied are 6A, 6A, 16A, 16A, 32A and 32A. This is different to the advert. Also the branding on the photos is not as the ones on the unit supplied. Tulabu is on all of the components of the unit delivered. Sized at 9" x 8" x 5" approx the front is retained by 4 screws. There are two glands in the unit to gain cable entry which isnt really enough unless they all enter from the back. The RCD unit is standard 30mA type and protects all outlets. Inside the box there are only 4 neutral screw downs and 4 earths. This means some will have to share. Its a pet hate of mine as it leads to congestion. There is a simple booklet showing the layout but again its all fairly standard stuff. The unit is rated at IP65/66 which means it could go outside. I personally dont like that thought in the UK with our weather being so variable. There is a full seal around the join but only 4 screws hold it down. All of the internal cabling is solid and secure. The live terminal spreader is made from steel but plated and thick. Copper would have been better. I like the front opening mechanism which can be locked or cable tied etc. In summary, its a low prices 6 outlet consumer unit and great for sheds, garages, extensions etc.
