The coasters arrived packed in individually bubble padded sleeves, 12pk x 6 inner cartons, styrofoam packed in a double walled outer carton. Amazon then packed this into a final master carton with packing paper. All told, the coasters arrived in perfect condition. Coasters each have rubber non slip feet and are around 5mm thick (or 7.5-8mm thick including the feet). These are not as thick as other coasters I've used. I actually prefer these 5mm coasters as they are not as heavy or bulky in sets. They work perfectly for their intended purpose without any finishing. The coasters absorb some of the beverage condensation nicely. As far as laser engraving performance goes, these are among the best performing platform for this. These coasters required no pre-cleaning before engraving and engraved beautifully using the same settings as used with other brand coasters. This includes using my existing power, speed and frequency settings to achieve different gray levels. No adjustments needed. With respect to engraving, the lighter "white mark" engraves retain some visibility when wet while the dark marks almost disappear until the coasters start to dry. This is completely expected and normal. Just perfect. I found the coasters to have good, consistent even surfaces with no splitting or missing chunks and all had nice, straight, natural chiseled edges. Given the perfect thickness, consistent quality and good engraving performance, I would have full confidence to buy these any time I need coasters.

I’m reviewing the slate coaster set. These are black, natural stone square drink coasters. They’re a good size, 4 inches square. I also appreciate the fact that they’re very thin. This means if you’re not paying close attention when you’re setting your drink on them, it won’t tip off. They have little felt feet on the bottom that will lift it slightly up off your table. This will protect your table from both the moisture and heat. I have a lot of wooden tables and a lot of antiques in my home. Seems like no matter how many coasters I scatter around the place, there’s still people who set their drinks directly on the wood. Hopefully the 60 pack will help. The natural stone has an appealing look and texture. Since they are essentially made of rock, you can clean them under running water and with soap. They are black, so they don’t show any rings.

I've always wanted some slate coasters for everyday use and when I saw this deal on Amazon I jumped at the opportunity. They arrived in perfect condition! Each coaster is 4x4 inches with nice soft feet on the back so they don't scratch things. They are natural slate so the surface has a slight unevenness that should prevent "condensation coaster drop" which is when there is moisture and you pick the cup up and the coaster goes with it and falls eventually. These do not do that! I am extremely impressed with the quality and perfect dimensions they have. I would highly recommend these if are looking for coasters. Yes, they are sold for people to have them etched or silkscreened for gifts or special events but I think they are just perfect as they are! I am very happy that I purchased them.
