I'm very Pleased and Impressed with the Quality! - It costs more but was worth it. I haven't had them installed yet. but they arrived well packed, and were in perfect shape. Just like the ones pictured. I painted mine white, but added a different finial to the top and plan to stain that the same walnut stain I plan to stain my steps. Note: that I am using a different finial in my photos. It did come with the square cap finial as shown in the product description. If mine doesn't look good when stained at the top, I might change to using the ones that came with it. Also some of my photos don't show the wood sleeve at the bottom. It is in one photo. It did come with it. I just plan to put that on when they install it. All came natural wood not painted, but I painted mine except the finial that I purchased separately that I glued with liquid nails on top that I plan to stain walnut color. But overall very pleased with the quality. They had an already painted version. But I bought the red oak version because thought they were heavier wood and same wood as my floors. Although I had planned to paint them. I should have taken pictures of them before I painted them.
