The shallow skillet when overturned, becomes the lid of the dutch oven

Q: Is there surface of the lid flat, allowing for dosa

The inside of the lid is flat. But because the edge is raised, if at all you are making dosa, it will have to be small ones. These iron pans are really heavy and need constant oiling to keep it good. I received my pans in rusted condition. Hoping I can get it off somehow.

Q: Is the product dishwasher safe?

No. You don't wash these things in a dishwasher.
