I bought this thinking that it was actually a Hella plug with a removable cigar lighter plug adapter (that red thing near the end) added. It IS a Hella plug with an adapter attached, but, unfortunately, the cigar lighter adapter is permanently attached. This unit can only be used in a cigar lighter socket---it cannot be used in a Hella socket. I ended up cutting off the faux-Hella cigar plug end and attaching a spare Hella plug connector that came extra with my Engel fridge/freezer.
