Max Water Mixed Bed Ion Exchange RODI Aquarium Filter Resin Replacement Cartridge, Compatible with 10" Reverse Osmosis Water Filtration System

I use this DI cartridge in my RO/DI system for reef tank water, and it performs flawlessly. After swapping it in, my TDS immediately dropped back to 0 and has stayed there consistently through several water batches. The cartridge was well-packed, sealed tightly, and fit perfectly into my canister — no leaks or loose fittings. The resin itself looks fresh and evenly packed, not dried out like some cheaper replacements. It’s easy to install and makes a noticeable difference in water clarity and coral health over time. Pro tip: keep a handheld TDS meter handy and change cartridges when you start reading 1–2 ppm — that’s how you know it’s time. This DI resin cartridge gives the same performance as name brands but at a much better price. Highly recommend for anyone maintaining a reef tank or using RO/DI for top-off water.

Don’t waste your money. Poor quality not full of resin and packed tightly. Also they leak and there is no way to get the seal set properly in place. I wish I could get my money back. Pure crap!!!

Connected with only two adapters (from Home Depot) to my RO system output. Decent price, and on time delivery.

Nice compact unit. You do need to buy 1/2 inch connectors for it to connect your 1/4 inch plastic piping into. You also need to make sure to add teflon tape and tighten the ends firmly or you may get a leak. Also make sure to pay attention to the hard to see arrow on it, which indicates the flow direction.

Meant to return this but forgot & missed the window. At least it's refillable, but if you're purchasing additional mixed-bed DI resin anyway then you might as well go with a transparent 10" x 2.5" housing and refillable DI canister. This product will not work with all this headspace, water will easily flow over rather than through DI resin, particularly in a typical horizontal orientation. This housing will need to be tightly packed with additional mixed-bed DI resin to be effective. Further, the resin included appears to contain odd bits of strange debris. Factor $50+ for additional mixed-bed DI resin into your decision with this purchase & it'll then be worthwhile if you require this style of housing. Does not include the pictured quick-disconnect fittings, just bare FNPT on each cap end.

Buyer Beware: Looks solid, but don’t be fooled - this filter is poorly executed. The resin chamber is only about 80% full, and even the filter pads are undersized. Water quality is awful, testing around 1 PPM when proper DI resin should deliver 0 PPM (yes, I tested it running vertically). Overall, this is a cheaply made, shameful product that fails to do what it’s supposed to. Never again.

Doesn’t work… maybe expired? Inbound TDS 6, outbound 2…. So it’s doing something, just not the entire job it’s supposed to,
