Rustins Shed & Fence Clear 1L

Received well packed and clips on the tin- excellent. Before applying to my shed I lightly scrubbed with a stiff hand brush to remove any exterior gubbins and bird cack, lightly cleaned any stubborn stains and stirred the 5L tin thoroughly for 3 mins. The brush used was a large soft bristle 5inch bought from a local trader and started the application. The liquid is milky and smooth, a bit like wallpaper paste but runnier with little to no smell. It soaked the brush well and the wood saturated quickly and easily, it was by and large a fast process. The medium sized entire shed took just over an hour and when i got back to the start i decided to throw another coat on as the wood had dried completely. The following day I checked the shed and the wood has a smooth feel, it has not changed appearance at all so it is clear, I would almost say there's a waxy coating to the wood and I feel confident the treatment will be effective. Best guess for 2 coats I used 2L of product but I was applying liberally. Time of course will tell but I'm confident the product is good. I will look again at Rustins after using this product I would purchase more of their products.

Although it arrived a day late (didn’t really matter) & was badly packaged, inspite of the packing paper the tin must of moved around damaging the box & bending the tin! That didn’t really matter 🥺The product? That was good! In the heatwave I managed 4 costs on my hammock from & still had a 1/3rd of a tin left. Would I recommend it? Yes I would

Wasnt Sure About The Product When I Opened It As It Was White And Thick, But After Mixing It And Putting It On The Fence, Its Clear And The Finish Brought Out The Wood. Easy To Put On With Roller And Touched Up With Brush As Needed. Good Product And Would Buy Again For Next Time

If this protects as well as it goes on then I’ll be very pleased, it’s a natural protection, we’ve had drop in panels for about a year and decided to protect them b4 anymore bad weather hits, it goes on a pasty white so it’s easy to see where you are at, quick dry in about an hour to touch and it doesn’t show any paint strokes so you can just lather it on and it still looks good, it’s made the panels a shade lighter but I’m still pleased with the look and application, in terms of coverage, I’ve used 3 x 5L tins to do both sides of 11 panels most are 6ft x 5ft panels. And I wasn’t shy with the stuff

Used on a garden chair and table set, very easy to apply and dries within an hour ready for the second coat Dries to a clear finish. Will use on the fencing and summer house next. Highly rated this product

This is weird stuff, it doesn't look much like it soaks in or repels water. It rains, and the wood goes dark and looks wet, but the water dries very quickly and the wood appears light in colour again so I suspect it does form a barrier of sorts. It doesn't make the water bead up as I expected it to. No awful odour at all. I emailed Rustins and they assured me it is how it is supposed to be. The good news is. it's super easy to apply, a real good stir then grab a large brush and away you go. It's safe round animals and nature so slap it on good and thick for a nice quick job. Reapply after a couple of hours, I applied 3 coats to a bare untreated pine shed. I think it is working fine, but I'm not 100% sure. Again time will tell.

Very good but my can was open a. Likely they think to put in a plastic bag . New reviews after a year.

It went on with a little cloudy white but dried clear. Winter will be the test to see if it protects my stencil painted wood fence.
