Fujitsu 24,000 Btu/h 18 Seer Single Zone Mini Split Heat Pump System (AC and Heat) - 24RLXFW - ASU24RLF - AOU24RLXFW

Had an immediate issue with new unit. Customer support pushed me to dealer who wants to charge for service call. Will need to replace with another brand.

The unit heats very well most of the time. My Fujitsu makes a lot of noise and vibration for hours at a time , especially at night. Not sure why but throws out cold air at times in heat mode. For hours it ramps up expelling cold air then it suddenly blows warm air going back and forth. No one at Fujitsu will help and installer won't do anything! I have two other units from M and they work perfectly. If you don't mind having a Fujitsu that sounds like a jet engine and heats off and on then go ahead and get one. There are times at night I just turn it off due to noise and vibration. I had control board and other parts replaced,but unit still ramps up and down causing vibration in wall and when ramps down sounds like a semi truck using engine to break when going down hill. Apparently I have a lemon and will ask Fujitsu to take pump back and refund me.

Sounds like a lot of bad installation reviews on here. We install these all of the time and have very rarely had any issues with them. There are a lot of things you must do during installation to ensure things, especially the compressors, will last.Get a qualified contractor and dont hire the cheapest guy or you'll regret it in the long run to save maybe a thousand dollars upfront

I bought a unit to cool and heat by 1600 sq ft ranch. This was the best investment I made in my home. I installed the unit in the summer of 2013 and I love it!Great investment. My AC cost during hot summer months is around $65. Can't beat.Also excellent to heat the heat the nearest room during the winter. We have a wide open floor plan, approx. 650sq st of kitchen in living area where the wall unit is located. The unit easily heats this area in the winter. LOVE IT!

We made the horrible mistake of installing a 48000 BTU outdoor unit with 6 registers for the 1st floor and a 24000 BTU inside. I have paid more than $8k in installation and trouble shooting. Had to replace the PCB first on the inside units, then had to replace 48000 BTU outdoor unit. Fujitsu replaced this under warranty but would not pay for labor. Now the 24000 BTU unit is having issues. The problem is that I have to pay labor for diagnostics before Fujitsu condescendingly agrees to their defective product. Service is horrible. It takes at least 30-40 mins for someone to show up on the line. The they deliver some rehearsed lines. Then they pretend they will transfer to someone and put me back in the queue to wait for another 30-40 mins.I DO NOT recommend anyone to waste their money for such a lousy system and service.

Unit has 1 year and does not cool the area as good as previous 18,000 btu unit that lasted for more than 15 years. Has been the same since new, there is nothing wrong with it, is just that does not cool enough. 10 feet from the unit I need to turn on the ceiling fan in order to "feel" the air. Waste of money, there are better less expensive units. I have 4 other units in my home, all different brands, and this is the only one I don't like, too bad that it is in my bedroom.

We had one installed 2 winters ago after being told it would heat our entire open plan 900 sq ft home easily and efficiently. That was untrue; it has never even heated the room it's in to the temperature setting, let alone heating any other rooms. It ran out of refrigerant the first winter and we could not get them to honor our warranty, despite being told it covered refrigerant replacement. We ended up paying out of pocket and the techs who came to do it said out of ten calls for help, 9 of them are Fujitsu mini splits. They also said there's a lawsuit against Fujitsu for these units.

I have had this unit installed for about 5 years. No problems or issues. Cools down or heats 800+ sq. foot area easily. Unit is in an open floor plan where kitchen and living rooms meet. Even when cooking, kitchen stays comfortable. Very low sound during operation. Only hear low fan sound when first turned on or outside temp. is very high and unit stays on high. Most times you can't hear it at all. Even running at high, unit is very quiet. Didn't give five stars only because unit does the job it was designed for and there is nothing exceptional. I very rarely give five stars to anything unless it goes beyond my expectations. This is not a negative for the unit, I'm just saying unit performs as expected and does it very well. Outside portion of unit is extremely quiet as well.
