Is this the same as miso paste

No it isn't the same as Miso Paste. While both are very similar, there are some differences that should be considered. Miso tends to be smoother, with a milder flavor profile. This product has a bolder flavor, and grainy mouth-feel. Depending on what you're trying to make this product could be used in place of miso. Both are delicious, however subjectively I tend to prefer Daengjang over Miso.

Does it arrive with adequate time left on the expiration date?

Yes. I received my order Jan. 23 and the expiration date is 11-1-2018.More than enough time to use up.

What is the heat level of this product?

This particular product has no red pepper in it so it has no heat it is fermented soy bean paste much like miso.

Is this one that use korean bbq restaurant. to use as dipping sause for meat.

It's used however Korean bbq meat dipping sauce uses a number of ingredients. Doenjang (soy bean paste) is just one of them. You can find varieties of dipping sauce recipes online.
