Purchased for my son who was seeking an alternative to Gatorade. He read about this product and decided to give it a try. Product itself is great. Very pleasant tasting. My son says it helps him stay hydrated while working outdoors and biking. My issue is with Amazon. It took almost a full week to arrive. Ordered Oct 8. Scheduled to arrive by the 10th. Delayed till the 11th. Was not delivered until Oct 14th. Certainty not a Prime experience.

Best value for Pocari in the United States. I used this after a run or if I’m just feeling dehydrated on a hot day and it works wonders. It’s not overly sweet or salty—perfectly balanced for a rejuvenating beverage.

Really like the product! You can control the intensity with more or less powder.

I feel so hydrated. It’s not salty and the taste is not offensive. It does have grapefruit powder in it! Please be aware of this for any medication reactions. Either way, I love this product and will be buying it again! 10/10

Affordable option for Pocari Sweat addicts! This is my favorite way to stay hydrated because it tastes so much better than US hydration packs or liquid IV products. Bottled Pocari sweat is very expensive with import costs— but this gets around that! You mix the powder into water and you have as much Pocari as you want

Pocari Sweat is basically Japan’s version of Gatorade sports drink. This package is a single packet designed to make 10 litres of solution. I mistakenly thought it was 10 packets for 1 litre, each, but that’s no big deal. The packets for 1 litre of solution are 74 grams each, so just weigh out 74 grams of powder to 1000 mL of water (or a full Nalgene 1 litre bottle). For lovers of everything Japanese, Pocari Sweat is a novelty that isn’t sold directly in the US (to my knowledge, at least, I’ve never seen it at retail), but the price is pretty reasonable via Amazon, at about $1.35/litre equivalent. Although Otsuka Pharma doesn’t sell a carbonated version, you can mix 74 grams of powder with 200 mL of water, then dilute 1:4 with carbonated water to make your own, which is quite tasty and refreshing. I’m actually surprised they don’t sell it as soda in cans, because I think it would sell pretty well. For home use, the 10 L packet is fine, but I will probably pick up some 1 L packets for backpacking/travel.

Use to get the bottles premixed in Japan saw this thought I should give it a go and tasted the same as in Japan was very happy with it and as soon as I run out I’ll definitely get some more I know you might think £20 is a lot but it isn’t it tastes amazing and helps you rehydrate so If you work out a lot I really recommend buying it you get a lot for £20 too and it mixes really well but don’t just take my word for this let it prove its self for stop looking through reviews and buy it and you will see

I can tell you why i drink pocari sweat. Surprisingly it's not with regards to the electrolyte content. I think if we look at electrolytes, pocari sweat may be comparable to gatorade. What is really interesting is that while other sports drinks are moving away from sugar, pocari sweat is made with cane sugar. I didn't realize until recently. I feel like it's one of the main reasons why pocari sweat feels more palatable during heavy exercise. Gatorade and other sports drink has always left a very stringent sour after taste. It almost makes me feel more thirsty during intense exercise. Not sure if this an experience that others have had. But I feel like pocari sweat is the only sports drink that doesn't give me that. It's sweet and refreshing when you drink it but afterwards it doesn't linger. Anyways, if you can't tell, I really like it. And I really recommend it. This packaged format is also the cheapest way to have it.
