From the manufacturer Google Fitbit Air Review: How fitness trackers always should have been. - Fantastic bit of kit. The app and the integration with AI is very intuitive. Well laid out app. Super light weight, barely feel like you are wearing anything and look good too. So I can wear my traditional watch on my right hand and this on my left. Also if you like your kettlebells, because all th important stuff is on the inside, you can wear your Fitbit without smashing it. Review: Wastes more time than it’s worth. - I cannot tell you how much I hate this appliance. It is beyond frustrating to try and log anything. On Sunday, I tried to log a few grams of peanuts, and it told me off - I shouldn’t be eating peanuts with my peanut allergy. I do not have a peanut allergy and had never mentioned peanuts before. It takes ages to update and correct its (numerous!) mistakes. Finally it accepted - no peanut allergy. Then the next day it told me off again - for eating peanuts with my allergy. This morning, I was alarmed to see that my calorie intake before lunch was 1800 instead of the expected 150 or so. It had logged my breakfast 12 times. I’m sick to death of trying to get it to log anything correctly. If you get one of these - give up your job first - you simply won’t have time for it b

Great value and easy to wear
Fantastic value, light and unobtrusive to wear. The least expensive, simplest way to get alerts for possible atrial fibrillation. I am not sure if the over-chatty AI coach is a good thing or not. I would have liked more comprehensive guidance in getting started; it took me a few days to realise I had to turn on active monitoring for irregular heart beat.

Great band, poor app
This tracker really falls into 2 categories, the hardware - the tracker band itself, and the Google health app. For the band I give it a solid 5 stars. it's very light, I hardly notice I'm wearing it all day, the battery life is excellent, it charges quickly, and it connects well with the app. No complaints. Now to the app. The Google Health app premium version was free for 3 months so I figured I may as well give it a try. I think the app can be described as clunky. It's not well designed, it's too complex, too many menus and sub menus, too cluttered, and it can be difficult to find stuff. I turned off a load of functionality that it tries to get you to use, just to get the screens to look less cluttered. The premium app is heavily dependent on an AI agent, which is called the Coach. The Coach gives you a lot of messages, all in an effort to encourage you. But it's far too intrusive for my liking. It's also as poor as every other AI I have used, and that's not great seeing as it's dedicated to this particular app. I tried creating workouts, which it did, but the workouts are buried in sub menus and difficult to find. As you have probably realised I really dislike the premium app. I may just use the basic version of the app after my free trial ends, which appears to be the functionality I need, and it gets rid of the AI and that's a good thing for me. For the premium app 2 stars.

Doesn’t send data to Apple Health
Nice and slim as compared to my Amazfit Helio Strap but found out the Google Health data can’t get pulled into Apple Health like the Amazfit does so you end up with two separate health apps. All power to Amazfit that does it properly.

It's not a Whoop band but you probably don't need a whoop band
So I've had this for about a week now and I've seen a lot of mixed reviews. A lot of complaining that there "isn't enough data" or the "AI is too in your face". There is plenty of data, you need to wear it for a while for it to calibrate and give you the data but realistically, if you are a data driven athlete who understands what every data point means, you most likely do not have the requirement for an £85 wrist monitor. Go get a better device like a Garmin, Coros or Hume/Whoop. The AI integration is where this thing shines. Sure you're giving a fair bit of information to Google but they probably have it already so relax. The AI Coach allows you to, easily and in plain language, communicate how you feel, how you're recovering, what muscles hurt etc etc and it'll dynamically adjust the workload for the day or week. It's able to take a long term goal and chop it up into short term milestones without you needing to spend hours on research. Quite simply put, you get to be the athlete and it gets to be the coach. Hardware wise, the HR monitor is accurate, the step tracking is a little off on longer activities but outside of a GPS enabled running watch, they kind of all are. Battery life is as advertised and the charging speed is decent, pop it on charge while you shower and it'll be most of the way to 100%. Sleeping with the band is much easier than with a smart watch and no bright shining screen to wake you up. If you want a straight forward get fit, stay fit solution where you have the option of just doing what you're told. This is it.

Careful if buying for children, Google doesn't think they should be allowed to use one of these...
A Wonderful Device, Assuming Your Children Don't Exist on Google ★★☆☆☆ The Fitbit Air is, I'm sure, a perfectly fine fitness tracker. I wouldn't know, because after three hours of increasingly desperate troubleshooting, I still haven't managed to set it up for either of my children. The device itself is lovely. The box is lovely. The moment you attempt to connect it to a Google account belonging to an actual child, however, things take a sharp turn. It turns out that the Fitbit Air is incompatible with Google's own Family Link supervised accounts. This is noteworthy because Google also owns Fitbit. One might reasonably expect two products owned by the same company to work together, in the same way one might reasonably expect a pair of shoes sold as a pair to fit the same feet. One would be wrong. Children under 13 cannot use the device at all. Children over 13 with supervised accounts also cannot use the device. The solution, I was eventually informed by the internet, is to either remove supervision entirely or create a new Google account with a fictional date of birth suggesting your eleven-year-old was born in 2008. I have now committed light identity fraud on behalf of both my children. The Fitbits are working. I cannot in good conscience give this more than two stars. There is no warning on the box. There is no note at point of sale. There is, as far as I can tell, no acknowledgement from Google that this situation exists, despite years of identical complaints on their own support forums. An excellent product for adults and fictional children. For real ones, perhaps check first.

Wozu also wieder Geld ausgeben?
