Anchor Hocking 340Q Glass 11.25" Cake Dome

I bake bread regularly and this is the perfect item to storage it. It looks good, heavy, straight, clear and provides enough room for my 1.5lb (before baking) bread loaf. At the center on the inside, it fits 6 inches, maybe 6 1/8 and the 11.75 inside diameter. When my loaf get to 6.25 height the cover is heavy enough to push it in and still sits tight. I am planning on doing the base myself and will create a little dip in the center, to allow for more height Meanwhile it is perfect, it is however have the small bubble in the glass. The height of the vertical side in the picture is 5 inches. The horizontal side is 6.25 inches and it was pushing against the glass.

Very heavy and great quality. I bought my cake plate and dome from Pier One before they closed done. The one I had was very thin and delicate and it broke during a move.

The quality of the glass is horrible. The entire dome contains tiny bubbles and small pinched pock marks are everywhere and there is a small internal crack. Shocking for such a well-known brand and definitely not worth $40. I returned it and am not confident enough to request a replacement. Looking elsewhere.

(Updated this review) After resolution of item tracking "Delayed at Customs" issue, I'm happy to say that the product is arrived and is in good shape. A very heavy-duty and solid piece, it seems to be high quality and perfect for my purposes.

Beautiful! Great quality - however I had to return as it was too big for my cake plate. (I failed to note the measurements in the description).

I love my Anchor Hocking cake taker. I was devastated when I put the original top down in an unstable position and it broke on the floor. And I was utterly delighted that they still had an exact match for the top for the cake dish I bought years ago. Thank you, Anchor Hocking!

I have an older glass cake pedestal that either never had a dome, or the dome was broken at some point with a prior owner. A cake pedestal isn't very useful without a dome, but the pedestal is too nice to toss. I thought I would try Amazon, not really thinking one could even buy a dome separately. I was wrong. I found this Anchor Hoking dome, which is, of course, well made. It arrived well packaged and was not damaged. It's heavy and not easily broken. It is not an exact match to the pedestal, but it is very close, so close that a person would need an antiques certificate to tell they are not part of a set. Very happy.
