Silvalume 11191 Knitting Needles, Straight, 10-Inch

I just got these and I'm new to knitting so my review probably isn't going to be as in depth as others but these are my first needles and although I cannot compare them to others, for the price they seem very nice. Mine are not chipped or putting paint residue on my hands. I like the feel of them and they are lightweight. So for me they seem like great needles to start with.

I only knit with metal needles because wood and plastic slow me down with how much the yarn sticks. I spend all my time moving around my stitches instead of knitting. Learn to control your stitches and metal needles will be your best friend. These needles are much better than the Boye needles I've always bought at the craft store. These have a much smoother texture, almost like a powdered aluminum feeling. My stitches slid smoothly along the needles and made knitting a breeze. Highly recommend.

Great little set - good size - good quality for the price!

if you are not picky these aluminum needles are great. i like the colors and they are pretty sturdily made. i've heard that some people have had the end plastic part come off but that has never happened to me. the paint might wear down or chip with either lots of use or as a result of pet/child play, but they are good and get the job done. just keep them out of curious mouths!

These kniting needles are very nice they last a long time and are very nice with whatever fabric is chosen.... Esthetic wise they do tend to scratch..so of you like perfect needles go with bamboo or something else. But I find these waayy easier to work with than bamboo <3

These worked great when I first started to knit, but I very much recommend buying bamboo needles instead. Bamboo needles are much easier on the fingers and don't make any metal screeching noises when you rub them together; the tips of these metal ones eventually (didn't take too long, either) started to chip the paint off, not like that's a really big deal, but they just don't look very nice. But it's whatever your personal preference is!! These were/are great needles, there's nothing wrong with them; I'm not sad I purchased them -- I just could have saved myself a couple bucks by buying wood/bamboo needles right away off the back.

I'm almost 60 and I just learned how to knit. Having a lot of fun with this, actually. Keeps me out of trouble. (I moved into a retirement home recently, and happily there is always another resident around willing to get into a bit of mischief. Evil laughter.) Anyway, I bought these Susan Bates aluminum needles and they are working out really good for me. I got three different packages of different sizes. I haven't had any issues with the color coming off onto my hands. Also, these needles are light as a feather, and the stitches slide very easily. In fact I am back to get duplicates so I can work on more than one project at a time.

Great needles. Easy to work with. Reasonable price. It's a great gift for a crafty knitter.

Always use this brand but have had to buy them in the US in the past. Great to get these at a good price.

Great needles. I love how light they are. My only issue was that on my 5mm needles, the colour wore off of one needle. But that only happened to one out of six.

Love these needles!! I use them more than any other in my knitting box. They are very strong and wipe clean easy (a must for removing oils and moisturizer). I highly recommend this product!!
