This is a good bargain bed, but at the end of the day, it's still a bargain bed. So here's the up and down of it:Good:* With three heights for the mattress, it can look good with anything from a low-profile to a crown pillow-top* It's a handsome linen and the nailhead finish is surprisingly sharp* It's actually pretty well constructed ...mostly* This would be fantastic for a guest roomLess Good:* The way it ships the siderails is to fold them in half (don't panic - they get a metal bracket during assembly). That leaves an unsightly seam in the middle of each siderail* The headboard is a little wobbly* There are only three cross-beams, so it requires a platform or box spring of some sort* The wood of the crossbeams is cheap. One of mine broke early and I replaced it with a metal one* The frame doesn't have a full running board on the siderails, so a 3rd-party solution like a bunkee board will still have to fit over the manufacturer's support system or will require some construction on your part (I chose the latter)I've been sleeping and other bed-things on this as my primary bed for a few months now and have no complaints. Like I said, if you take it for what it is and either work with it or accept it, this will do you fine.
