I’m highly satisfied
After using the Soundcore Liberty 5 Pro Max for several days, I can honestly say these are some of the most impressive earbuds I’ve owned. The first thing that stood out to me was the sound quality. The audio is rich, detailed, and powerful without sounding muddy. Bass is deep and satisfying, vocals are clean, and the overall clarity is excellent across different music genres. Whether listening to music, podcasts, or watching videos, everything sounds premium. The noise cancellation is seriously impressive. Once ANC is turned on, background sounds almost completely disappear. I tested them around household appliances, at work, and in noisy environments, and they performed far better than I expected for earbuds. They are getting very close to over-ear headphone level noise canceling. Transparency mode is also excellent. Voices and surrounding sounds come through naturally without sounding robotic or overly amplified. It actually feels safe and comfortable using them in public while still being aware of what’s happening around me. Comfort was another big surprise. With the different ear tips and ear fins included, I was able to get a very secure fit. They stay in place during walking, workouts, and daily activities without constantly adjusting them. The charging case deserves its own mention. The touchscreen is not just a gimmick — it’s genuinely useful. Being able to quickly switch modes, check battery life, and control settings directly from the case is incredibly convenient. The sliding design also feels premium and satisfying to use. The app is packed with features and customization options. I especially liked the hearing test, EQ adjustments, adaptive modes, and personalized sound settings. Everything feels polished and easy to use. Battery life has also been solid so far, and call quality has been clear on both ends. Overall, these earbuds feel like a true premium product and offer an incredible amount of features for the price. Soundcore really did an amazing job balancing sound quality, ANC, transparency, comfort, and smart features into one package. Very easy recommendation from me.

Genuinely Impressive Sound, and the ANC Is No Joke
I've gone through a few pairs of wireless earbuds over the years, and the Soundcore Liberty 5 Pro Max earbuds are easily the best-sounding pair I've owned. The low end has real depth without turning muddy, mids are clear, and vocals sit right where they should — nothing feels overcooked by an aggressive EQ preset. Using the HearID personalization feature to tune the sound to my own hearing made a noticeable difference too; it's a nice touch that a lot of competitors skip. The noise cancellation is the real standout, though. I've used them on flights, in busy coffee shops, and in an open office, and each time the ANC does a legitimately great job of flattening out ambient noise — HVAC hum, chatter, traffic — without making the audio feel hollow or pressurized, which is a complaint I've had with other ANC earbuds in the past. Call quality is also strong; several people I've talked to on calls mentioned they could barely tell I wasn't in a quiet room. Battery life holds up well for a full workday, and the 5-minutes-of-charging-for-4-hours-of-playback feature has bailed me out more than once when I forgot to charge them overnight. As a bonus, the case's AI Note-Taker is a nice extra for in-person meetings — it's not the reason I'd buy these, but it's a genuinely useful feature to have in your back pocket when you need it. Bottom line: If you care about sound quality and want ANC that actually holds up in noisy real-world environments, these are worth it.

Good quality, poor battery life.
Calls are really clear, No wonder that it was certified by tge guiness book of world records for having the highest speech quality score. I've tried 2 other soundcore model and this one is the best in terms of calls. Noise cancelation really works. My issue is the battery life. It would only last me 2 to 2.5 hrs max per charging with continued use. But it charge fast though with the case. I use one buds at a time to sustain using it. 4 stars due to the battery life.

Best call quality headset in the planet
I am a loyal user for Huawei freebuds pro headsets since the first gen till date with Freebuds pro 4, I couldn't find any headset that can provide a call quality like what I am getting from the freebuds pro 4. I watched by if sudden many videos for the Soundcore Liberty 5 pro max, immediately I ordered despite the fact I am living in Dubai, waiting for 10 days to get the headset, wow, received, quickly open the box charge it fully, connect to my Honor Magic V5, run the recorder start recording while the radio volume is high, driving speed 100km/hr, listening to the recorded voice, very disappointed, catching all vocals except mine, angry, open Amazon app, complete the refund request... Wait wait, I got a call from colleague, I don't know why I connect the headset again, I was shocked, Radio running, window is open, she asked, are you in the office?? I said, what? I am in the car and the radio is running, window is open, she didn't believe, I raised the volume to 40 creating more noise, but she still cannot hear any noise, I disconnect the headset during the call, she was shocked more than me, how come this headset cqn isolate everything. I open Amazon, canceled the refund request. The issue I observed, that the native recorded app doesn't use the external mic to record, installed Film it, tried to record video in different senarios with the Soundcore headset, the result was so impressive. Conclusion, this is the best headset that I ever used in my life, nothing can be compared with the mic quality during the calls or Teams, r3ally I love this headset, it is little bit expensive but it is worth every penny. Recommend it to anyone interested in the best call quality headset. Thanks Soundcore for this great product

Better than Bose and Samsung
I was pleasantly surprised. I already own 2 Bose and 1 Samsung earbuds. This one has the best noise cancelling of all. I tested it by calling a friend on a windy day and he could not hear any wind. The Bose failed miserable and the Samsung was not as good. The fit and comfort is even better than the Bose which I thought was already comfortable. The Samsung fit is not snug and uncomfortable. This operates similar to the Bose with taps and swipes which is real easy and allows more customizations . The Samsung was difficult to tap and swipe because you had to find the exact spot

AI transcription doesn't work
I will keep this reciew short and precise, after 2 weeks of using this here are my findings: Overall rating 2.5/5 (3/5) if AI transcription worked ⭐️⭐️⭐️ What they are great for: • I would recommend them for daily use, • ANC and Ambient mode are great What they can do better: • Eartips comfort • ANC is sometimes lost on one side (left) • Case is recording but not picking up any sound, so AI transcription is not working, even after reset and a week of troubleshooting. • Bass • Basic earbud settings like "find my earbuds", "wear detection", are missing on the case, • AI translation must get fixed • Battery on the case is terrible because of the screen Sound (3/5) With my best EQ it's good, nice and warm, clear but veiled. The bass is basic, nothing exciting, to this day the 3rd generation remains the last basshead friendly entry, however, it's still better than the 4th gen. Spatial audio is bad compared to the others. At this price you can find better sound. Controls (5/5) Excellent Fit and comfort (2.5/5) It fits snuggly but well, it is very stable, the eartips can get very itchy and that reduces the comfort alot. When smiling, due to the snug design they can get tight and itchy. Design and quality (3./5) I took the gold one. It's the only color I think is nice. The screen on the case has exceptional quality. It's laminated unlike others. ANC (4/5) Great, Final thoughts: My overall ranking 3.5/5 rounded down

Why the mic quality won me over (and where they still lose to my Technics)
Just picked these up, so this is early days, but the call quality already sold me. I've got the Technics AZ100, and the Liberty 5 Pro Max mics are noticeably better in a loud room. The ANC is the other standout, it clamps down on background noise hard. You also get 3-device multipoint like the AZ100, which is handy, though running all three drops you off LDAC. The charging case screen is genuinely nice to have, controlling ANC and settings right from the case beats digging through an app. Why you might hold off: the AZ100 still wins on pure music sound. Battery also takes a hit once you turn on voice control, AI sound enhancement, LDAC, or spatial audio. The AI note-taker is nice but probably not worth paying up for the Max over the regular 5 Pro, and translation feels gimmicky with real lag since it isn't processed onboard. Get these for calls and noise. Skip the upcharge if music is the point.

Tons of Features but Fails Fundamentals (for me anyways)
Writing this review after I just accidentally washed them with my clothes and destroyed them. I couldn't find them the previous night and despite being $230, I could not find a way in the software in my Google Find Hub to make the headphones case reveal their location. My Soundcore P20i headphones that I've had for over a year combined with a PebbleBee tracker has more in ear comfort, ability to locate the unit, and better battery life (even with ANC disabled). Comfort: I tried the multiple eartips on the Liberty 5 Pro Max's and none were very comfortable. The eartips that come with these headphones are vertical ovals that caused me ear pain over extended durations. If you buy these, you may need to buy some 3rd party eartips, which is ridiculous considering these already cost $230 after tax. Findability: using the PebbleBee Clip Tracker, which can attach to the wrist strap my P20i came with, I was able to find my P20i's so long as they were within 30 feet. No such strap or even hole for said strap is on the Liberty 5 Pro Max, and despite registering the device in my Google Find Hub, I was unable to make the case locatable remotely despite being in the same room as them. The one advantage these headphones have over my previous ones is the ability to play a loud tone from the buds themselves should they get lost, but playing a really loud song on full volume that has specific high frequencies (I use Begin Again by Knife Party), I was able to locate my P20i's pretty consistently. Battery Life: The Liberty 5 Pro Max has much less case battery life than I expected when compared to the P20i. I believe this may be due to the headphones using more power. that being said, I only used 1 headphone at a time for 80% of my device usage, which does not enable ANC, so it was not due to ANC draining the battery fast. Sound Quality: This was especially disappointing. I had to really play with the equalizer to finally dial in what I thought was good sound. Once I did, it sounded pretty good, but not magnitudes better than my $20 P20i's. I can't tell if it's because those headphones are so well built, but that is the main function of headphones and it didn't perform much better than ones that cost 1/11th the price from the same company, making the value for money not very good for waht I personally value in headphones. I have a decently good ear for sound frequency identification as tested in dialedgg too, so I don't think it's an inability to tell the difference from myself. Basses are loud and clear but have to be very carefully tuned in the equalizer or all high and mid tones get completely lost. The "find your sound" thing in the app was also not very helpful, and the default equalizers were extreme versions of what their titles set out to achieve, so much so that they were awful sounding. Noise Canceling: This is where the headphones were genuinely very capable. I loved putting myself in an isolation chamber using the max level ANC setting. the only downside is running ANC drains the battery much faster, but they still had a decent run time out of the box with ANC on. Final verdict: These headphones have a few really good features such as excellent ANC and decent sound quality, but the main reasons you would buy headphones, combined with a lack of findability or ability to enhance findability using a 3rd party peripheral makes these really hard for me to recommend at $230. The value for money is just not there for this product in my opinion and unless you're traveling a lot and for some reason have your headphones and not your phone and need to translate only spoken words (seriously, why is this a feature when your phone, the thing this will likely be connected to 100% of the time, can do this better?). I feel as though they are more gimmick than evolution of wireless headphones, but only time will tell, and it may just be a really bad experience for only me.

Excellent sound and build quality.
Had these about a week but up to now these ear buds are brilliant, loads of settings to get the sound right for you. I’ve had all types of ear buds from low price to top end price and these are definitely top end quality, I find the sound quality is very good, I find the noise cancelling is good and the build quality is very good also. Pairing is a doddle and the connection is solid with no lag or drop outs. They fit the ears well and come with extra fittings for different sized ears. Up to now I have been very impressed with these buds. Hopefully won’t find any problems with them in the future.
