Very good speaker, especially for the price
I bought this in August, 2020 and after being my main speaker for these past 2+ years, it finally stop working. Well, specifically, it works just fine but the charging port is messed up so it no longer charges. The sound is really solid, and it can get surprisingly loud without blowing the speaker out. The battery life is good. I think it lasted me a whole day when I had it unplugged. To be fair to this speaker, it's been main speaker for my laptop. I use my laptop for everything, including music, Youtube, cable TV, etc. Since this speaker has literally been on literally everyday, for at least 12 hours a day since I bought it. It really held up and, again, its only the charging port that's messed up. And that probably has more to do with my constantly lugging the charge cable in and out on a regular basis, which this speaker wouldn't be made to handle. I'm absolutely buying another one. $20 and it lasted 2+ years of heavy daily use. WELL WORTH THE PRICE and a solid product,.

Good little speakers
tl;dr: I'm happy with the sound and the build quality, as well as the ease of use. I'll keep them, assuming they don't auto-bork within the warranty period. _________ I've had these speakers for a couple of days (bought two to use either in dual or stereo setup). They are smaller than typical inexpensive square plastic computer speakers and weigh quite a bit more. They also sound better, unless your PC speakers cost more than $30 and include a sub-woofer. They are easy to connect via Bluetooth on both PC and Mac. I haven't tried them on Linux or a phone. The stereo connection function is easy as well. The included instruction booklet is clear and concise. I haven't tried the Dual function yet. I haven't tried them farther than 10 feet (approx. three meters) apart from the sound source or from each other. Things like walls and the transmitting power of the Bluetooth circuit in the audio device are going to have an impact on range and performance. The volume control is + or - 16 steps, and the little red power light on the control end of the speaker will blink once when you reach either 0% or 100%. TIP: Turn the speaker on and, before you connect it to an audio source or device, reduce the volume to 0% then press "+" eight times to take the volume to around 50%. You may also want to adjust the audio volume on your device to a lower level until you get a feel for the speaker. My guess is that there is quite a bit of audio processing and active EQ going on inside the speakers, and it favors and boosts bass frequencies. If you have EQ presets on your audio device, then hopefully there will be a few that roll-off or attenuate the bass. They'll have names like Spoken Word, Bass Reduce, Treble Boost, etc. For my purposes, these are "micro field" speakers that I'll use to listen to music or news while sitting at a laptop. I also tried them out as speakers for an audio device on a bookshelf. They work just fine for background music and podcasts, and fill the room. Obviously the won't move as much air as good quality bookshelf speakers but the sound is clear and pleasant. If I were going to crank up the volume I'd decrease the bass EQ on the music player first. The slightly raised control buttons are easy enough to memorize - a good thing given that they are the same matte black rubber as the rest of that end of the speaker. I suppose I would use little stickers or a white-on-black tape in label maker if I wasn't going to be handling them often. The speakers power off after a little while (haven't timed it yet) if there is no source audio, so using them to have a louder phone alarm in the morning probably work out.

Found It, The Perfect Bluetooth Speaker for Everything!
I've had several small speakers for my Kindle, laptop and phone. This by far is the best one I have ever had! It charges quickly, is light and easy to handle, , no cord or headphone jack neededconnects to bluetooth seamlessly with a great reach AND has great sound. There is no static, no crackling, the tones and sound is great for such a small speaker regardless of listening to music or an audio book. I had turned to my earbudsd when outside because of the difficulties I was having with my speakers, cords and sound. Earbuds are great except when they keep falling out into the flower bed you're weeding. I bought the red so I always knew where I set it down. I love the cover on the charging area as it protects the plug from dust and bugs when outside. I haven't gotten it wet but I'm pretty sure the design is perfect if there is an unexpected storm or my mister catches it. I can have my music softly playing outside now when enjoying my backyard and louder when cleaning house or doing dishes and truly enjoy it. It was perfect when listening while grooming my furbaby. The battery seems to have a long life, so far it hasn't gone dead one time. I plan on buying another one, different color inside, and maybe even some as Christmas gifts. The price is perfect for that.

Good for personal listening, not for anything else
I was able to keep up with the OontZ Solo speaker for an hour - my experience was underwhelming. This speaker works well for tabletop use, smaller areas like bathrooms or kitchens, and scenarios where your need for portable audio is 'small' size. It does get loud, but not in a particularly pleasant way. Design and Portability: Credit where its due, the speaker is compact and easy to carry around, has thoughtfully put non-slip rubber feet, can stand on its side, has four holes punched in the body to put a lanyard through and hook it on a bag or carry in hand - very nice! All answers are right answers with that many options. Sound Quality: The bass is decent for a speaker this size. There’s (supposedly) a dedicated driver for the lows located opposite the control buttons, pushing out air that you can feel through the side vents. However, it lacks the depth and impact I expected. You'll hear a clear beat, but you won't feel the thump. The sound is good for what it is—a small, budget-friendly speaker—but don’t expect booming bass, that's just not what is possible at this size. Of course there are bigger, similarly priced speakers that have much worse bass than this, so kudos to the makers for being able to take out the most out of this size. Also, it says "dual speaker" at the bottom, but I could see only one behind the mesh - check in the pictures. The "dual speaker" is perhaps to acknowledge that you can pair two of these speaker together for a true stereo sound. Seems like a sus move. So, the 'Solo' speaker is a mono unit after all. Connectivity: Charging via micro-USB is a bit outdated, and one of the reasons I'll be returning this, but it gets the job done. Appreciated is the inclusion of a 3.5mm port, which adds versatility by allowing for wired connections. It’s a simple but effective feature if you want to chain multiple speakers or connect to an audio source directly. Cons: The biggest drawback—it can get a bit harsh and 'tear' at high volumes. It’s a compact speaker, and while seems to have a dedicated bass driver, the experience is more like a reading the menu, than tasting the steamy dumpling - I know it's there, but why am I getting none of it. Also, the reliance on micro-USB in 2024 feels like a dated choice. USB-C, please. Conclusion: It is a rugged portable speaker for casual use, but its sound limitations mean it’s not for me personally. It’s a solid choice if you’re after a small, dependable speaker, but if you are looking for deeper bass and more than a personal audio solution, you might want to explore other options.

Got it on prime day
Got a great sale on this, bought it for $26 I think? I haven't tested the waterproof claim yet but I believe it because it's constantly playing on a humid environment and hasn't shorted itself out. I wish the buttons were a little easier to see. Maybe if they were a different color or something. It fits in my palm, in my bag, on any surface and has an included wrist strap that feels well made and sturdy. Onto the moment you've all been waiting for.... Regarding the sound quality, it's a 9/10. For a little speaker like this, it's surprisingly loud. I bought this to block out my neighbours stomping and fighting and you know what? They can hear it too. This functions exactly as intended. Customer service also followed up on two occasions to make sure I was satisfied. For all of this, I think the price point is unbelievably low and I'm glad I took advantage of the sale. The only thing I'd say that could be changed is make some more colors please! They only had black and red when I bought mine but I'd love a metallic blue, glittery snow white or even a bedazzled version. I'd love some accessories to go with my speaker as well. I know there's a case but what if you could make something like how Crocs has the little rubber thingamabobs to accessorize your shoe? Or a little buddy that you can attach with a suction cup like a king frog, or a wizard turtle?

4.5/5
Couldn’t decide on a 4 or a 5 so I gave it a 5 because it really is a great speaker for what it does. The sound quality is good not great, but definitely not bad either. Much better than any other budget speakers in this price range. The biggest thing I’ve been impressed with is the battery life… right out of the box I played it nonstop for 6-7 hours, fully charged im sure it really can get 10+ hrs of playback. Super easy to connect as well, when you turn it on it automatically goes into pairing mode, just click the Oontz Angle Solo in your Bluetooth settings on your phone and you’re good to go.

Small but mighty
I have the original Oontz angle and love it. The sound quality is fantastic for such a small speaker. I have even used it in my classroom and the sound carries well w/o being tinny or distorted. When I was in Florida a couple of weeks ago my mom struggled to get my phone to pair with her sonos speaker and I didn't want her to get confused and struggle with re-pairing her own phone so i just ordered my own. The Oontz solo has great sound for a tiny speaker and is perfect for chilling on the lanai, schlepping to the beach, taking on a walk or to the gym... it even comes in colors so I got the red to make it easily identifiable as "mine." I liked it so much that when i came home and couldn't fine my original Oonts angle I bought another red solo. For $20 (it is worth having an extra anyway)! I may even get some for my kids stockings this Christmas. Quality portable bluetooth speakers are practical and totally useful in so many situations. My new one arrived yesterday and I listened to it on my patio for hours and hours. It came charged and ready to go. I love these little speakers. Small enough to be readily portable, great sound. Fantastic product, good price point, thank you for the Oontz speaker line!!!

Muy buena bocina y a un excelente precio
Me está gustando mucho la experiencia con esta mini-bocina. A volumen máximo suena muy fuerte, con poca distorsión del sonido, en niveles medio-alto suena de muy buena calidad, aún no he hecho una prueba de batería, pero de momento dura bastante. La recomiendo mucho. Por buscarle algo malo, el plástico parece frágil, por lo que si se llegara a caer, probablemente se rompa.
