It does exactly what I was looking for. Great for practice without disturbing others in the house. Has a 3.5mm Jack imput for backing tracks, and a pretty loud output with two separate pots for output volume and gain. Also a switch for chorus effect. The effects level is not adjustable though. Battery life is very good, I've been practicing for two weeks almost everyday for 1 hour, some days over an hour, still on it's 1st charge! All in all, great value... and everybody at home happy as they don't have to hear my bad playing.

OK for occasional practice. Not much more than that.

What a great little headphone amp. Bit of hiss when the volume is up high on the amp, but just dial that back and crank up the volume on your guitar and it's fine. Quite an effective reverb too. Pair it up with a decent set of headphones and this will surprise you. Very happy.

Maybe I was expecting too much, but volume not great, fx does more or less nothing! Tone doesn’t do much, the gain makes it louder but not a sweet distortion, sounds a bit like old portable radio via earphone! It does hiss a fair bit, more so with higher gain. Does the job but not brilliantly, maybe should have spent more! In fairness I have only tried it with bass guitars. It is portable which is useful.

Pros - Plug-in and play, worked as intended - Aux in was useful for playing along with songs from my phone - Sound output is headphone based, so allows for quieter practice Cons - The gain dial was very sensitive, so it was hard to pick the right amount - I could hear a buzz when it was on, it wasn't so loud that it interfered with practice, but it was definitely present Note: Sound output is headphone based, so make sure that you have a good set of headphones to hear the entire sound range

Easy to use, plug and play really. Nice touch to be able to plug in an external sound source. Shame the unit died after a few hours of use - sound broke up and faded away even when charged up. Buy cheap buy twice, good thing Amazon do returns.

Got this product, well packed, and put to use straight away. The sound wasn't as expected, but as I used it as a practice medium it was something I got used to. Unfortunately, it only lasted a month. The jack plug housing broke away from the unit while playing. Having it plugged into the base of a guitar while playing sitting down.....

I have a wife and baby who don't often appreciate my late night jam sessions. Hence, the need for an alternative solution. This unit does the trick for me. It is simple enough to use with 3 knobs--volume, tone, and gain. There is also a surprisingly good chorusy reverb switch, which is an extra bonus for me. So far it seems to have a long battery life. I've been jamming over the last couple days and the LEDs do not indicate that it has lost any juice. It feels well put together too, something you don't always get in this price range. For something slightly larger than a stick of gum, you are going to get a good usable tone, but not the sound of a Mesa Boogie or AC30. As with any headphone amp, you need to be realistic with your expectations of tone. That being said, I am very pleased with the clean tone, and the chorus/reverb is good quality. The gain is not quite heavy enough for metal, but well suited to classic rock. I truly do like this headphone amp, and I am glad I bought it.

Just received it, plugged it in, works beautifully. No, I wouldn't gig with it, but it's perfect as a headphone practice amp. Nice overdrive with reverb. Simple, discrete and tiny. It does have a little hum, but very acceptable. This kind of sound without the clutter of plugging into a real amp or a pedalboard is just great. The tone is pleasant and definitely good enough for practicing. Again, simple and just perfect for what it is designed to do.
