I got 6MM for my upper ear cartilage. I posted a pic of it so if anyone else is questioning how big 6MM looks you can see in the pic. As you can see, she has a cartridge (aka helix) piercing. There have been others we've tried whose "stems" weren't long enough to fit, but these fit well. They are solid, not cheesy and "snap" into place when closed, so they are secure. The hinge makes it really easy to open them and the stem part goes through my ear easily and is long enough to sit comfortably with a little wiggle room (I have normal lobe piercings).- Secure, it's never fallen out with all my tossing at night.- Stayed true to color. I only wear the gold ones so I can't speak for the other colors.- Hinged design makes it easy to add interchangeable beads without taking the hoops out of my ear!
