If I wanted to do so I would have had to get 2 sizes up instead of 1 but I wanted an open back. We had a photographer at the ball who kept taking pictures of me as my dress was so elaborate. Most of the guys go out for an after party in the city so I walked around in that dress late into the night and had no issues. You may need a little help having someone lace you up. My husband got me into it easily but since it is laced up in the back it needs another person to help you into it. The corset is very expensive looking. The sleeves I was worried would look cheap but since they are black they blend in very well. It’s a very dramatic dress yet very modern. I was concerned I’d look like a saloon girl in those amusement park photos but this was so well done it looked like a modern dress with my petticoat. I don’t know how I’ll top this dress next year. I’ve gained 80lbs over a year and a half so I wasn’t sure what size to get. Measurements: bust45 waist40 hips45 and I’m 5’ 7 3/4” 5 feet 7and 3 quarters inches tall. I ordered the largest size. The skirt had an elastic band that stayed on okay but would come straight off with the slightest tug, the top was slipping off constantly. It made me look extremely boxy because i couldn’t lace it up tightly like I had hoped. Arms fit comfortably, and my arms are pretty plump at the moment. It was great quality, beautifully made.
