They stand by their warranty, great customer service
Had the watch 9 months and the top button stopped working as it should. To cut to the chase they sent me a label to print, DHL picked it up, 7 days later they've got the watch back to me in full working order and with a new screen too. Handy as I scratched it about a month ago 😬Clearly they want to keep customers happy which was a relief!Did I miss the watch when I was gone? With the help of my OG Pebbl Time I missed the heartbeat sensing but it made me realise all along why I love the GT. It's just a better more modern twist on the Pebbl.Simply, it does everything a fitness watch needs to do, the fitness elements are inspiring when trying to get excercise in and trusting the distances. It uses a lot of the phone's ability to do what it does, like with the Pebbl, but only the bits that make sense to use as you'll no doubt already have it on you as with any smart watch. It looks classy with a different strap (standard looks cheap but is better suited for sports use), the battery lasts 2 weeks with standard usage, does so much for such a reasonable price. Who really needs to call people from their watch other than for the sake of doing it because it can be done?On top of that, their CC was good each step of the way. I'm impressed in a way that is sadly unusual. It's not often companies deal with people so well. I can only hope they'd be so kind if my P30 phone ever needs sending away.Highly recommended.

Why buy any other watch!
Great watch, highly recommended. Of all the watches I have used this one is head and shoulders above the rest. Battery life is very good, not two weeks but getting on for a week. The monitoring of events is particularly good, for example when playing badminton I can see heart rate warning bands really clearly with just a flick of the wrist, which this watch picks up well. Also on a walk I can see that I need to put in a bit of a jog now and then to do my burn out minutes in the day. Initially not obvious how to use as the info is non existent with it, but bear with it and you will be very satisfied. Am tempted to buy another as a spare it is that good. You can download extra faces but the supplied ones are really useful. Step count is spot on. Data at end of a walk is really informative, keeping track of pace, altitude, cadence, various speeds, gives you a Km pace every Km as you walk. Brilliant. Such good value.Six years (yes!) still going strong. Heart rate is a bit out but otherwise works as per day 1.

Good watch - just keep it synced
It's a decent fitness watch, and i bought it mostly for its screen and for its battery life. Battery life is excellent - i've had it since Christmas Eve 2018 and i've charged it 4 times. It's not a smart watch, just a fitness watch. It's good looking and works well as a watch. I don't use it all the time, as i also like to wear a normal watch sometimes (worth bearing in mind for my battery life/charging habit).Good:-exceptional battery life-clear screen-there's enough watch faces..i don't know why people moan-quick to lock on GPS-measures distance and heart rate well-comfortable strap-it takes a bash quite well. i think it has taken the paint of a couple of my door frames.-really good analysis of exercisebad:-gets out of sync with sea level. i don't know how the altimeter works, but it seems to need to sync with your phone to work properly. really quite annoying-i don't sync with my phone all the time, i prefer to have the battery life on my phone too, and don't have bluetooth and gps running all the time-the sleep analysis i sort of gave up on. it's a bit wishy washy, and seems to think as soon as i lie down that i'm asleep. i think sometimes when you analyse your sleep, you can make yourself feel more tired than you actually are. if you wake up thinking you had a nice sleep, then look at the stats to see that the GT thinks it was rubbish...there's psychological affects.

Great watch for the price tag
Really good buy, this. I was sceptic with this Huawei GT watch not being supported by Android Wear but all in all it's a decent piece of wearable tech for the price you're paying. Life battery is great, 7 days with all notifications on, checking the time 100 times a day, heart rate on the whole time, pedometer & sleep tracking. The watchface gallery is not extensive but has at least 7-8 faces that I use for different times of day/week.Mine came with a silicone strap, which feels comfortable on the wrist, but went and purchased a brown leather strap and this way I have a sport and an elegant watch to wear 😉.The charger is easy to use as it's magnetic and just 'sticks' together and the charging is fast.Very happy with my purchase. Would definitely recommend.

Brilliant! 👍
Have never used smart watches or fitness trackers before so nothing to compare it to, and no preconceived expectations.Delivery was 2 days quicker than had been estimated, so no complaints there 👍Initial look of the watch when opening the box was good, nice weight and feel to it 👍Eagerly opened the 'quick start guide' and that was the only negative. It really was just that, a quick start guide. How to connect to charger, how to switch on, and telling you to download Huawei Health app and get instructions for the watch from there 👎👍👎👍After sorting that, couldn't wait to get started. Corona-virus lockdown means only allowed out for 1 hours exercise each day so that was the trial.GPS connection and pairing to mobile handset really easy, as was setting for what I wanted recorded. Was only an 'outdoor walk' but off we went.VERY VERY impressed with usage and results. Full charts and breakdowns for heartbeat, distance covered, steps, energy used. Display/screen is very clear in sunlight. Default setting on delivery is set to AUTO but go into settings and you can manually change its brightness from 1 - 5. You get a lot of info scrolling through different screens on the watch, and can get greater detail and graphs on the app on your mobile.Very very impressed so far. 5⭐

Great Watch
I did a lot a research before buying the Huawei watch GT, with a lot of deciding to buy either the Huawei Watch 2 or the GT. (I didn't specifically go for Huawei but you do seem to get a lot for your money with the brand). Most other brands were quickly pushed aside because of their battery life - after all do you really want to be charging the thing every night or less as is the case with the Samsung (ignoring company battery claims and looking at user reviews etc).So I chose the GT because of two factors, the main one being the dimensions - it is quite thin, only as thick as a decent kinetic mechanical watch) and not that large a unit in general - I am a medium built male and it fits fine and slips under a sleeve with no problems. The second factor was the battery life, I can definitely say that it is good, I charged it on 25 December (I've had it a while before Christmas) and today the 29th December it is on 77% battery having been worn constantly in that time. The battery lasts me about 3 weeks under normal use and I'm pretty sure it would go for nearly 4 weeks if I didn't keep messing with it. If you put GPS on constantly then it'll use a fair bit more juice but this mode turns off when you come out of a workout mode (all adjustable in the android app on your phone). The screen quality is good, easy to read and it illuminates for around 5 seconds when it senses your arm lift to a 'look' type position, this time can be increased to 5 minutes per 'look' action but the screen can not be set to constantly on.The step counter, heart rate and sleep monitor works all the time with no way to disable it - the battery life is not effected by these being used all the time - it seems that only using the GPS functions will effect the life of the battery.Watch faces are ok, its a shame there wasn't more on offer but what is available are good quality and look nice enough with plenty of information on display.Messages and notifications are displayed with a swipe up on the watch screen and are readably but not answerable. Which app is allowed to send notifications is selectable from the Huawei Health app.A lot of people complain about the weather function not working - this is because you have to set your phone to use a default weather widget that is displayed on your phone home screen (such as accu-weather etc), as long as your phone is set to display a weather widget and the option is turned on in Huawei Health (the watches control app) then the weather will display and update just fine. The watch is comfy to wear and the strap can be changed to any standard 22mm strap. The standard silicon strap is good quality with great flexibility and feels like it'll last for quite a while. All in all the watch is comfy to wear and is slim enough that it'll slide under a shirt or sleeve without you really noticing it, and it is actually fine to sleep in and hardly causes you to notice that it is being worn. (I turn mine to 'Do Not Disturb' and 'Key Lock' so that the screen doesn't light up if you twist your arm and you can't accidentally activate it if you touch it).The Huawei app is quite good (Huawei Health) though saying this I haven't been able to compare it to anything else as this is my first 'proper' heath/smart watch. The app displays heart beat history, sleep information such as time spent REM, deep, resting or awake as well as steps, distance travelled, map of journey travelled (can be disabled), weight, calories used, oxygen absorption and many other interesting information that the watch gathers while you wear it. The app doesn't seem to effect my phones battery life and the watch syncs easily without issue (unlike some FitBit watches that my partner uses where syncing is always an issue).Ultimately I had to decide on if to go with Android Wear 2 or Huawei's own OS that gives a massive boost to battery life. I thought a lot and hard about this and decided that if I wanted to view a map - i'd likely do this on my phone, if I wanted to make a call - i'd likely do it on my phone and if I wanted to type an email or message - yeap, its going to be on my phone as the screen is larger and far better for these tasks than a small watch screen. In my opinion being able to view a map on your wrist etc is a bit gimmicky rather than being of real world use - that's what I have a smart phone with a larger screen after all and not a Nokia 6200.So to sum up my review:Would I buy this watch again: YES CERTAINLYWould I recommend it to some one else: YESDo I actually like using the watch: YES, its easy to use and navigate through the menus. Is it comfy to wear: YESIs the battery life good: YES, BRILLIANT IN THIS RESPECTWhat do I dislike about it: The outside bezel is high quality but ultimately it is useless as it doesn't do anything and is of no use at all. (but it is vary narrow and you won't notice it after a few uses)Thumbs up from me on this one.

High quality at reasonable cost, with super battery life. Finally found the smartwatch I wanted.
I only gave 4 stars to sleep tracking and the app because I don’t use them much so have tempered my assessment. I’ve had a few cheap step counters and an early Fitbit, all of which died and had limited battery life of 4 days or less. I only wanted basic functions, not really interested in GPS, the essential factor being long battery life and easy connection of the charger. Eventually, after much searching over several months, I spotted the Huawei GT at £89, less than half the RRP.So, I’ve had the watch over a month and have charged it twice, circa 12 days between charges using the excellent magneticlly attached charger that leaps into the correct position. I do not use GPS and rarely check heartbeat, etc. I really like the analogue style display. I’m not a fan of silicone straps and swapped immediately to a black metal strap from an old watch. Connection to iOS app was easy to set up and operation is flawless for my usage.

Good quality. Nice design. Useful functions.
I love this watch.I haven't worn a watch since I first got a mobile phone, so I was a bit worried about whether it would feel odd. It is light and comfortable, so I hardly notice it.I also have a Huawei mobile and the health app works perfectly with the watch.I particularly like the sleep tracker and heart rate monitor. The mobile app has a really good feature for displaying the quality of your sleep. There are a large number of nice watch screens to choose from, with different screens focussing on different features. It charges quickly and the battery lasts for several days.I'm not really a sporty person, so the many workout functions are unused. Nor have I tried out the waterproofing.
