It cost around $6-$9 to buy each one individually. This set cost about the same as buying two or three hole saws bits individually, so a no brainer to spend a few extra bucks on it and get a full set.Worked really well for our project. Quality set of tools that made short work of plywood and thinner materials, and held up more than respectably against some thicker, harder woods it had to get through.Items arrive covered in a bit of oil/grease within the plastic tool box... probably to prevent them from rusting in a moist environment. Will have to wait and see how they hold up to the elements where I live and whether or not rusting could become a factor. I tried the 5" bit and it did drill into the wood, but my drill wasn't strong enough to get all the way through the plyboard.
