I would recommend this to anyone starting out with their studies because if you don't quite get what your course books say, this book will explain it slightly differently and 9/10 you'll understand it after reading this. It was not that easy to understand as a total beginner, so I wouldn't suggest this on its own for self study, but once I started to use another, more basic book (the ICB level II by Kaplan) and I understood the basics from there, it became extremely handy to use this book to look up the more complicated topics and additional topics which were not covered by the other, more basic book (like extended trial balance). Once I had a basic clue about what is going on, this book proved to be extremely valuable.
