I decided to carry a bologna sandwich in the pouch area and it seemed to reject the sandwich; the sandwich was in poor shape and not edible. Another time I carried a bag of baby carrots and an apple; that worked out fine. Both carrots and apple were completely edible. Maybe if I put the sandwich in a bag it would fair better, but I haven’t tried. I respect the pack’s desire to be vegan and would not try to trick it into carrying a bologna sandwich.
