Scotchgard 3M Non-Toxic Fabric Protector, (Pack Of 1)

We have a 3 seater sofa with a light coloured fabric upholstery and were concerned that it would get dirty soon and hence decided to buy a can of the 3M fabric protector. Once the product arrived, I decided to apply the spray on the sofa. One has to cover all non-sprayable parts of the sofa (for example wooden armrests and legs) etc, as the spray can leave stains on them that are difficult to remove. I generously applied multiple coatings of the spray and left the same to dry. Initially, the fabric felt a bit rough, but after using the sofa for a couple of days, the texture of the fabric seemed to be back to normal. Some months later, I was having packing a container of fish curry and used the sofa to hold it. Unfortunately, I managed to spill a significant amount of the gravy on to the sofa and the cushions. I was able to immediately open the cushion cover, but the only thing I could do with the sofa was to wipe it with a damp cloth. Once it dried, we found absolutely no signs of the spilled curry. Hats off the 3M fabric protector!

good product

Good product to prevent stains on upholstery

This product is a fraud. Seems mixture of quick evaporating oils. Water repellant is not true. Further once you buy they don't return as its consumable fraud of 3M.

Ideal product if you need to waterproof upholstery to keep it in pristine condition

The product does the job but has a smell that can take from a few hours to a day to leave the house depending on the surface area covered with the product.

Experienced it first hand on our sofa; works as described! We accidentally spilled drink on our sofa but weren’t left with a stain!

It's difficult to use. While spraying, the smell is pungent and kids need to stay away. when the spay drops falls on floor it's extremely slippery. So ease of use is poor. I didn't find any hydrophobic property after applying 2 coats.

I have been using this product for years. Spray it twice a year on your upholstery and it will basically repell liquid stains from all your fabrics. It has a strong smell that subsides after a few hours in a ventilated room. Very good quality and reliable product. Five stars

I bought this product for the first time after coming across a lady on YouTube recommending it. I used it on my canvas bag and fabric sofa; and I am glad I did. Some hot chocolate accidentally spilled onto my sofa recently and I was able to clean it off more easily than I imagine if I hadn’t applied this product. A good product.
