I wanted one that had great video quality and high reliability. I found street guardian to rate highly on both categories from my research. I bought two for my cars and finally tried them out today. First, they're very easy to use. The buttons are logical and intuitive. Second, I really appreciate all the little accessories they pack in there to give you a variety of installation options. While it doesn't come with a suction mount, you can buy one on amazon or ebay easily. Besides, the suction mount is not as reliable as adhesive. Also, I really like the fact that it comes with an external GPS and option to add a rear cam. These are all features I don't need now, but I like that I can upgrade my system in the future easily.The video quality is very good from my initial viewing (I downloaded their dashcam viewer software as well). I have not had a chance to mount and drive around yet as I need to let the adhesive sit for ~72 hours in the car to achieve maximum hold. The recorded audio is clear and loud (you have the option to turn the mic off)Every review that I came across that mentioned their great customer service is true! I asked a question on their website regarding mounting on my dash and they replied the same day, and on a Sunday, too! I also had another issue with the Sandisk SD High Endurance card that came with the camera (I bought two and the other cam was supplied with a Sandisk SD Ultra card that I had no issue with) and they also replied today (Sunday) to send me a replacement. Bravo! I almost don't have words. I purchased on Feb 28th 2019, I had it professionally installed on march 2nd 2019. As of today (05/06/2019), The rear camera doesn't work at all, not even detected any more. I have to completely remove power from it at least once a week because it becomes completely unresponsive and freezes. It randomly beeps for no reason that I can see on the screen. This thing worked for the first 30 days, then it took a crap. It sucks that I have to find a better camera now as I loved the older version. Other cameras don't hold up at all down here. I do disconnect it and I usually have windshield screen up when I park but sometimes I forget to the put the screen up or I put the screen up and leave the camera on the windshield and camera still works great.Only negatives are that it is a little more expensive but I feel it's definitely worth it.
