Einfach, stressfrei, effektiv. Einrichten in unter 2 Minuten: Salzwasser rein, Artemia-Eier rein, Deckel drauf, fertig. Kein Strom, kein Blubbern, kein Technikwahnsinn. Kinderspiel. Alles dabei, was man braucht: Löffel, Sieb, Pipette – man könnte fast sagen: ein Rundum-sorglos-Paket für Aquaristik-Faule. Leise, sauber, unkompliziert: Kein nerviges Geblubber, keine Stromrechnung, keine platzraubende Technik. Ganz klare 5 Sterne!

Wish I had known about this sooner
I had been using an inverted bottle with air hose adapter. No matter what I tried, I ended up with shells mixed in with my BBS. This required a second separation task in a clear container with a torch and pipette before filtering through mesh - and even with this there would still be some shells left. I was left with numerous things to wash every time I harvested BBS I have used the Hobby breeding tray for a week. It has been running without a heating pad in a room set at 21 degrees Celsius. I have had multiple successful hatches within 24-36hrs without a single shell mixed in! I can also harvest multiple times from each batch. There is no mess, no additional containers or pipettes to clean. I am getting a second one so I can have fresh BBS hatching every day. Even if you need higher volume BBS on a daily basis than this can make, I would suggest hatching them in a typical airline system and using this device to separate the BBS from the shells. Note - it needs 700mL of water to reach the line (not 500mL as detailed in the instructions) I add in 18g of rock salt and 3-4g of sodium bicarbonate. I use 3 scoops of artemia cysts per cycle.

Works really well when you use high quality eggs and is simple to setup
This product works really well. My Angelfish bred for a second time and I struggled to hatch brine shrimp to feed to the fry until I tried this hatchery. I mixed 2 teaspoonfuls of sea salt with just over a pint of slightly warm water and carefully sprinked eggs around the outer section. It didn't work with the decapsulated eggs that you can also buy on amazon but i instead bought some great salt lake premium 90% hatch rate eggs on ebay and I had a good hatch after just one night. After dispensing a hatch into the aquarium I found it populates with enough brine shrimp again for a couple more servings before you need to clean it out and reset again. This hatchery is also very useful for separating the shrimp from the egg shells since they swim to the centre where the light is. I also purchased some live baby brine shimp and this hatchery was effective at separating the live shrimp from the eggs. Putting some extra light on the centre with a desk lamp also made it a bit more effective. It doesn't produce huge quantities but is perfect for the hobby aquarist who suddenly has a load of fry to feed. You can also mix with hikari first bites to increase the portion size when adding to the aquarium.
