I love this adorable story. Teaches children the magic of mixing colors, while enjoying a great book. Pictures are fun and storyline is too!

Precious pictures and a great learning tool! Teach primary colors and expand on that concept to teach some secondary colors within an appealing story about some very curious mice. Kids are captivated by this book and it lends itself to discovery. Do an experiment with food color in water to concretely demonstrate the color changing aspects shown in the book. Remember to end your experiment by adding a bit of bleach to your color mixture to bring the water back to clear! An amazing teaching tool that is based on a darling story with fanciful, simple illustrations.

I love how this book teaches about mixing two colors to come up with a new color. I also love how the mice hide from the cat and uses the cat's water dish to wash the paint off of their bodies.

I love this book! The illustrations are delightful, the concepts are the simple basics of mixing combinations of blue, yellow and red to make green, orange and purple ( primary and secondary colors). These busy little mice can lead to many fun art projects with your children as they play with the concepts introduced in this charming little book. Children love it and you will too.

This book is great for my younger students as it introduces them to the concepts of primary colors, secondary colors, and mixing colors. Perfect for basic elementary level color theory. The students also love the story and the cute pictures of the mice scurrying around throughout the book. I originally checked this book out at a local library to experiment with on my kindergarten/VPK classes and they loved it! More importantly, it helped them remember colors and so forth, so I decided to pick up a copy for myself due to that success and it's now officially recommended in our art curriculum. :)

This is a classic. My 3-year-old great nephew loves it!

Binding seems to be done very well, super cute book!

I got this as a gift for a baby shower. The mother is requesting books instead of cards. This was one of my favorite books from my childhood, so it was an easy choice. The book is very cute and colorful. Fun images to capture the attention of little ones. A great buy!

My little boy loves this book and he calls out the colours that the mice make with their feet. Even I love it and love reading it to him. Great for teaching primary and secondary colours.

Un livre très sympa pour apprendre les couleurs. Il intéresse les enfants dès 18 mois. Les dessins sont très mignons et les phrases simples. Probablement une bonne introduction à l’anglais pour les enfants non anglophones.
