What is the actual dimensions of the screen for the picture itself - on the 13 inch one-not including the wood frame

the glass is 10&3/8 wide and 7" tall. Inside that dimension is a white "matt" about 1" all the way around. So the actual picture area is 8&1/2" wide and 5" top to bottom.

Why do red question marks show up instead of pictures?

If the file is corrupted or not of a type that can be read, a red question mark is displayed.

Can someone who is saying that yes, you can set the photos to be in random/shuffled order please explain how? I’ve tried every setting w/o success.

It's part of the setup menu, which I accessed using the directions that were included. At this point, I do not remember what exactly I did (I threw the instructions away, once I did what I wanted to tell it to do), but it was simple and straightforward. The only confusing part was that it was not obvious which "button" to push to navigate the "cursor" (so to speak), but trial and error showed me the way.
