Easy to swap in. Feels robust.
Was fairly easy to install, and operate. It didn't come with any instructions, but was straight forward to figure out for my use.

Works great!
I went with highline fenders on my jeep and had to cut the hood, so the factory hold downs were gone. These lock the hood down nice and solid. Easy to latch and unlatch, and hold the hood tight. Plenty of length on the stud too.

Good design but keep in mind some things
Hope the info below helps you who are brave enough to take on this challenge. This is an alternative to the standard-setting Quik-Latch brand. I have both and there is a difference in how they are mounted. This design has a smooth, round threaded ring requiring 3 set screws to lock it in place. (Quik-Latch uses a Hex threaded nut only). Hoods generally are designed with two sandwiched metal sheets, upper which you see and a structural lower sheet. You will need to drill large holes in each. You will need a much larger hole in the bottom sheet to access the 3 set screws, or you can do as I did and carefully locate the lock ring set screws, then drill clearance holes, as seen in attached photo) to secure the lock ring. (I purchased set screws and used a 3mm hex T-handle to tighten them after applying thread locker as I don't want set screws rolling around inside my hood later). Note that I drilled the 3 small holes in the hood underside because I didn't want an oversize hole in the structural sheet, as my hood is aluminum and needs as much "meat" as possible to ensure good, long life. Note that I gave a rating of 3 on ease to install....that rating is for the average tinkering person. You'll need a fair amount of patience, some not-so-normal tools, and some part layout skills. Remember that you also have the pins that secure to the radiator support that you must align with the latches. Be prepared to use some creativity and common sense in fabricating brackets (in some cases) for mounting the pins. Af for the part appearance, other buyers were concerned about discoloration. I purchased the silver color, and quickly found that it had a soft chrome finish, not some sort of anodized material. In an attempt to repair scratches, I tried to buff it. That didn't work well. When copper started to show through I realized I had to remove the entire chrome coating, completely revealing the aluminum underneath. I was pleased with the results. As you can see from the photo using wet 500 grit sandpaper on a rotating drill the finish has nice concentric rings and brushed finish, comparable to Quik-Latch brand. Overall it took a lot of work, but I feel the result was worth the effort. For the difference in price between this and Quik-Latch it was worth saving nearly $300 in my case. BTW...to keep the latch working well, ensure you have it adjusted well. If you have the closed adjustment too tight, you can have a LOT of trouble delatching the lock. Users may think the lock is at fault but installation adjustment may be at fault. Additionally, get some good silicone paste lubricant and keep the internal locking mechanism lubricated. Periodically do this, as some water may enter from above and have corrosives that may hinder optimum operation. This is the paste I got from Amazon for that purpose. Best wishes installing. Just be patient and with a bit of advance planning and layout you can have a good installation.

Not bad at all for the price
I wasnโt expecting much from these given the price point, but Iโm pleased to say that these are actually quite good. Theyโre well designed, all metal, the latching mechanism holds tight, and the button has the right amount of pressure for a push release. Theyโre the right size for a larger hood and look much nicer than the old school pins that stick through. If youโre looking for this type of hood pin, this is a clean option. Fits not quite flush to the hood skin, as advertised, and has a nice, clean, modern look. You will have to be brave while youโre cutting the hole for the latch, but you got this. The wide flange is pretty forgiving of small mistakes, but if youโre unsureโฆget a body shop to install for you.

Perfect for bumpers, NOT hoods.
If you see other people using these on their hood, ONLY pay attention to those reviews for that one fact they are NOT USING them for their designed purpose. THESE ARE NOT hood latches. I don't care what people say or the title and description says. These are meant for bumpers. If you need hood latches, you need to go get some Aerocatch latches. These are perfect for bumpers and nothing more

No installation instructions
Beware, if youโre not familiar with installing these, the item came with no instructions, so an inexperienced person looking to install for the first time will have difficulty. The material and quality was okay, so I rated it 3 stars.

If you're considering these just get them they are fantastic. Updated review.
I replaced my old school hood pins with these and they are spectacular. Worth every penny and then some. Update, without some up pressure on the hood, these can be difficult to open as I discovered after lubing up my hood hinges and the factory latch deleted which was spring loaded. The fix was simple with a couple springs added over the latch pins as seen in the video. These would be a common sense item to include with the latch kit from the manufacturer.

The quality is unreal.
I decided to use them on my carbon fiber hood, I was a little skeptical at first, But once installed and adjusted properly they are a god-send. Hands down the best hood latches/pins you can buy. came with everything and then extras.

Poor quality
Product worked perfectly and secured my bumper very well. However, after about a week the center buttons broke and fell off. This caused the pins to not have anything to secure to resulting in the product being useless.
