Perfect fit, easy install
I just installed these rear brake pads on a 2013 CX9. This is an easy job, requiring a jack, jackstand, lug wrench, and a 14 mm wrench. The old pads still had wear life remaining but were making terrible squealing noise when braking in reverse or even just backing up without braking. This is not the first time I've had this problem so I think this vehicle is prone to noisy rear brakes. The pads came with proper shims and clips and a small pack of damping grease. I would recommend purchasing some extra damping grease. Be sure to pop the shims off the pads and apply damping grease between the shim and pad. Also apply to the clips wherever they make contact with metal and the back of the shims where the caliper contacts. So far they are quiet. I can't judge the stopping power and brake feel because I only changed the rear pads. I'm hoping they stay quiet longer than my prior pads. I haven't had them long enough to judge how much brake dust they generate.
