Because newer vehicles have fewer places to attach hook to secure tie downs this item is a "must have" for me. This order is the second time I have purchase these items and they work great for securing my kayaks to my vehicle. I have been using them, under the hood, on the front (under the hood), but with my new vehicle I'll be using these under the rear hatch door as well. They are very strong and stay secure. Again, a "must have" for me.

Just used these straps yesterday for tying down my kayak on my Tule roof rack. It was so nice not having to lay on the ground searching for cargo hooks under the front and back bumpers of my car. Very easy to use.

These are brilliant. Such a simple idea and perform the job perfectly, giving me two solid tie-down points for a kayak. Means I don't have to mess about screwing the towing eyes in to the bumper sockets just to have a kayak on the roof. Excellent.
