I needed this product to keep my iron’s cord from snagging on my ironing board. It attached to my ironing board easily and securely. I’m happy with how It works!

Even with wireless charging, I still believe in wired charging. Wired charging is best when one’s in bed and having a phone in your hand. Anyway, no matter how careful I am, sometimes with wires just drop on the floor. If the connector (head?) hits the floor too many times, the wire dies. It’s just too expensive to buy those good wires again and again. This arm has been super useful in keeping the wires off the floor. Just attach it to your bed frame, or a small chest of drawers and it’ll hold on to your phone cables reliably. Makes it easy to hunt for cables in the dark too! Oh and I also use it for its intended purpose, to hold the cables of my iron. That works well too.

So, when I ordered this cord keeper, I was a bit skeptical. In the product description there are three pictures of a plastic bolt used to screw the C-clamp to the ironing board, then three pictures of a metal bolt. The C-clamp is made of metal. Customers complained of the bolt stripping easily. Well, I don’t know what “engineer” decided to use a plastic bolt and use it for a threaded metal hole, all the while thinking this was going to hold the unit firmly to the ironing board. Ummm, no, that aint gonna work. However, my cord keeper came with a metal bolt, so okay, some improvement. I do have some concerns about the other plastic parts though; the top of the spring, where you must pry open the plastic “clamp” and place your cord into it. It may not last very long if you open and close it often IMHO. By the way folks, the iron cord is not supposed to slide at the top of the keeper, that is the purpose of the spring, plus, don’t forget to place your cord into the ‘Z” at the bottom by the spring. Also, the bottom where the spring is attached to…yep, plastic. All in all this keeper will work until it doesn’t. Hopefully, it will last a longish time. I suggest the company look deeply into some corrective actions to beef up the plastic pieces, this could be an excellent good cord keeper if that was done. I am rating this as a four due to the questionable quality of the plastic pieces.

Easy to install. Nice to have the cord out of the way. My mother had one 60 years ago.

The plastic part broke very quickly. Poor quality.

It doesn't come with that washer over the bolt as shown in the picture. Also it's a poor design. There is some sort of ratchet so when you pull the cord, the extender ratchets over. 90 degrees. The only way to get it back upright is to untie the cord and rotate it 360 degrees in the same direction it fell over on. That should be done away with. It is a flaw, not a feature. I guess some crazy glue might lock it into place so the wire is not constantly falling over.

I have put off buying one of these for years...wish I hadn't. I sew a good bit and do quite a lot of pressing as a result. This little gadget makes my life so much easier, no more "Fighting" the cord. I put a 2"x2"x3/4" block of wood underneath my ironing board so this had something strong to attach to. It does not move at all! Very happy with this product.

This is a difficult item to find in stores so I was really excited to find this one. It came quickly and is awesome. Does everything advertised! No more tangled cord and no fear of burning the cord either. Seriously makes ironing so much easier!

Leider stimmt die Relation zwischen der Stabilität der Metall- und Kunststoffkomponenten dieses Produkts zueinander nicht: die massiven Metallteile hätten wohl noch jahrzehntelang gehalten, haben allerdings die für eine auch nur kurzfristige Handhabung völlig unzureichend gestalteten Kunststoffteile bereits nach wenigen Wochen "gebrochen".

Manufacturing is good but the rod does not stay upright. And bends when im ironing. Only the standing is the issue when ironing

Al principio me costó un poco de trabajo adaptarlo a mi tabla de planchar, estuve a punto de devolverlo, pero le di una segunda oportunidad, lo puse del otro lado y me funcionó perfectamente, por fin el cable de la plancha no arruga mi ropa nuevamente. Si le doy un 9 Funciona bien.
