Does this lamp has a red light? I need it to read outside, so the light has to be red.

Can I use this to read at night?

Yes - I do use this to read at night. My Kindle may have spoiled me, as regular books appear "just plain dark" and I find I no longer like limiting myself to "that one chair near the lamp". If I want to read on the couch or on the porch or wherever, the light isn't good enough and the head lamp makes reading in those places practical. Yes the light is comfortable enough to wear while reading, and the variable light settings allow you to pick how much additional light you need.

Well, Nicole...I haven't run with it. I use it to light my way to the chicken yard at night to secure the henhouse. But it fits on your head in three pieces, two around the crown and one over the top from forehead to nape. It feels as though it would be secure enough to run with. I like it very much.
