Great value. Will extend the life of my ski boots.
I was told I should get these after the boot shop saw that the heel of my ski boots was getting worn down. Per other reviewers and the directions, you have to let them sit in hot water and then stretch them over your boots. It won't work if you just try to stretch them over your boots without warming them in hot water first. If you leave them off your boots for a while after the initial stretch they will be hard to put back on. I haven't tried them in cold weather yet but I suspect they will be very hard to get on after sitting in my pocket for a full day of skiing. I also did what other reviewers said and melted holes (via candle and holding a nail with pliers) in the heel and looped a zip tie through to create a handle. I have not tried walking on snow in them yet but so far this is exactly what I was looking for. My boot size is 7.5 and I got a size small. Update: I've have taken these puppies skiing and I am very pleased. Walking on ice and snow is a lot less scary with these on because I don't feel like I will slip at all. Great grip and traction. They are a little tough to fit in my pockets. This is a complaint I have about women's ski gear in general (small pockets). Fitting these in pockets will be less of an issue in men's ski gear which typically have nice large pockets. Based on other reviews I put them in the pockets of my midlayer jacket (which I wear under a waterproof shell jacket) and left them there all day so they are closest to my body thus staying warmer. When I did that I didn't struggle much putting them on at the end of the ski day prior to walking back to my car. I found putting the heel in first is actually easier than putting the toe in first. I store my boots with the cat tracks on. I'll probably get at least an extra 30 days of skiing out of my very expensive ski boots thanks to these.

Great protection for long parking lot or plaza walks
I have probably bought 3 or 4 pair of these over the last 15 years. These are very helpful and worth putting on when I have a long walk over paved surfaces. They protect my boots well. I also find them very helpful for very icy surfaces and am sure they have saved me from falling many times. They are a pain to put on and take off, but worth it when I need to. These last long and hold up well. Once in a while I lose one if it falls off and I need to buy an extra pair, but worth it.

Good lightweight protection but a pain to put on
I use two different types of boot sole protectors. Seirus Cat Tracks and Yaktrax SkiTrax. The Seirus Cat Tracks is much lighter, smaller, and easier to carry. A nice feature when you get to the slopes and take off your tracks for the day. My main grip about them is that they are very hard to put on, the pull tabs are smaller and they need to have a good stretch before them secure on to the boot. I've tried to follow the recommendations of heating them in water and leaving them on the boot overnight, but it only helps a little bit. I've used them now a number of times now and it's still a pain to put them on every time. If they didn't do such a great job of protecting my boot I would have stopped using them. Yaktrax SkiTrax are much heavier and bulkier, needlessly in my opinion. The treads and protection pads are thicker and bigger, but they don't really offer much more protection unless you are rock climbing. For protection against gravel, stone, roads, cement, and wooded paths, I feel the Seirus Cat Tracks are more then good enough. The nice thing about the Yaktrax SkiTrax is that they are much easier to put on, I don't find myself struggling to stretch them on. Instead the Yaktrax SkiTrax only have a light pull and kinda "click" on. The Yaktrax SkiTrax also came with a nice carrying case. Overall both are good boot sole protectors, just pick the one you want. Lighter weight and more compact, go with Seirus Cat Tracks. Easier to put on, go with the Yaktrax SkiTrax.

Easy on and off, great traction. FOLLOW THE FITTING INSTRUCTIONS!!!
Don't complain if you didn't bother to fit them to your boots. And if you don't put them on snugly, they WILL come off. Avoid user error and they are awesome. Wear them until the moment you step into your bindings and you will not have any snow on your boot sole. Gripwalk can't say that.

A must have in my opinion
I have always used cat tracks to make sure the bottoms of my boots last as long as my boots. I’ve never had an issue with any brand I’ve bought and so far no issue with these.

These boots are made for walking
These are simply amazing. I’ve been using this product since the early 80s. My current pair have been lasting at least five seasons and we walk everywhere in them. I only bought these as a back up just in case, but my current ones don’t seem to be wearing out or looking to fail anytime soon. Just a month ago we walked all over Zermatt, Switzerland and Chamonix France with these on my boots.

The grip pads fall off pretty early in the life of the devices
Great protection for your boots. Not super easy to put on or takeoff just because you have to get down to your feet to do it in snowy conditions. Biggest complaint is the little pads that go against your boot came off after four uses. I doubt it makes too much difference but it helps. Keep them from moving it around so they don’t fall off as easily and get lost.

Easy on and off
I ORIGINALLY had a set of the competitor to these. Those were big, heavy and clunky. The were hard to get on the boot and wouldn't stay on when walking. They were too large for my boots and the next size down was inches too small. I had to twist the band between the front and rear halves to shorten them a bit so they'd clip on at all. All in all they were a good idea but a poor product. These are just the opposite. Everything that was wrong with the others is right with these. When you get to the ski lift these pop right off and are compact enough to go in my coat pocket. The only slightly inconvenient thing is that being older I need to sit down to get them back on for the walk back to the car. A younger, more agile individual could probably do this while standing up the same as I do to take them off. Good product. Would highly recommend if you have long walks on pavement in our ski boots.

Work well, small enough to put in your pockets to use when needed.

Must have for your boots and are exactly as I wanted them.

My last pair of boots wore out - not because of my skiing but because my chalet is located 200m away from the lift and as I'm in the valley there is no snow cover so I'm walking over asphalt. My new boots have survived 4 seasons and are still in pristine condition because I bought a pair of these with my boots - The first pair are damaged as I trod on a rock that cut the strap between the toe and heel so Ive bought a new pair in case/ for when that strap snaps. They are really comfy to walk in, easy to put on and off and save any wear on the boots. I'd recommend all the way if there's no snow between you and the skiing.
