Great Product-Kat Luvs it...
My wife found a nearly dead little kitten (the size of a hamster at the time...) all alone under a car. The vet said it wouldn't live. It did. Now the Kat needs a Kondo. (Lucky dog...) I will post pictures later, but we just received and built this cat tree today, and I wanted to post an immediate comment on the product. We spent a couple of weeks shopping all the various sites and reading reviews, and FINALLY decided on this one. The value for the money is excellent. The product was delivered very quickly and was packaged well. The color is kind of a creme. The two little "cat houses" are already built for you, all you have to do is screw the posts to the platform, and then the houses to the platforms, then attach the perches. The design is well thought out and the construction is sturdy. The directions were excellent. They obviously have read the feedback and fixed the problems mentioned in previous reviews. All the parts have little stickers on them for identification. It took me just under an hour, and I took my time... I oriented the house the way it is in the directions as I built it (I'm spatially challenged :). Do yourself a favor and buy yourself a decent hex wrench. The one provided is adequate, but I found it really helpful to have the leverage of a good wrench to torque the bolts into place. Be very careful to get the bolts started correctly. There is carpet all around the holes for the bolts and a stray carpet fiber could cause you to get the bolt started improperly and strip it. Pay attention to the lengths of the bolts and their placement, and it's a snap to put together. I built the bottom part first, as they suggest in the directions. I found it easier to put it on my dining room table to begin with so I wasn't stooping over, especially to tighten the bottom posts to the platform. After you have the first level done, you can then put it on the floor before it is very heavy. DON'T build the thing on its' side and then try to tilt it up, you will trash it! I don't want to give the impression that this is not built well, it is! But it is also tall and the bolts aren't meant to have lateral pressure put on them... The quality of the hardware is quite good, and I was able to tighten the bolts very tight without having any of the bolts strip or having the heads strip-out on them. The fit and finish of the other parts is excellent. The covering is very well attached and wraps nicely around the edges. The finished product feels very sturdy and looks very nice. The general design for the cat's usage is well thought out. The spacing between the platforms is just right. I took one user's suggestion and flipped the platform that the ladder rests on around, so that the longer part is inward-toward the house. This makes it a little more stable, but also gives the a cat a place to sit under the ladder. My cat seems to like this. The top of the lower house is right at the bottom sill of our window (just over 33" from the floor), purrfect sun-deck for watching birdies. The cat took to it's Killer Condo right away and is sleeping right now in the lower house. We are looking around for another rescue kitty to give it a "roomie". I'm very impressed with this product. There is a ton of crap out there. I have bought my fair share, lured by price or clever marketing. This is not that. It is very sturdy and designed well. I consider the bang for the buck to be quite high. I would not hesitate at all to buy again from Armacat, and I highly recommend this product. Cheers!

Excellent cat tree well worth the cost.
First few thoughts about this cat tree: - Unbelievably easy to assemble. I was so nervous that this was going to be a difficult task but the directions and pre-engineering that goes into the assembly process are very easy to understand and follow. It took me about 30 minutes and I did it alone. I had to use a step ladder for the top parts of the tree because it's very tall and I couldn't reach it. You are supposed to assemble the tree vertically so you can't lay it on its side to assemble it. - The tree is well made. This was probably my biggest overall concern. It's hard to trust reviews sometimes and I couldn't get my hands on any of the materials before hand and this thing isn't exactly cheap or lightweight so returning it would be more trouble than it's worth. The boards, posts, and fabric all feel very nice and sturdy. - It looks presentable. I was also worried that the tree would be "ugly" out of the box and just an eyesore in my house. The featured photos for the tree are identical to how it looks in real life (speaking for the B7701 model). It is very clean and appealing to the eye even if it just is cat furniture. - My cats love it. Honestly, I knew they would love a big tree like this so I wasn't worried. Several of the reviews mention they couldn't keep their cats off it even while they were assembling it and the same goes for me. My cats were already playing all over it before it was even together. I have two cats and one is a tiny bit chubby and one is average size. Both fit on it and inside the enclosed areas well and have no fear tearing up the thing like wild banshees. Final notes: The smell is that of plywood initially but it goes away fast so no worries about odor-sensitive cats. I assumed I'd be able to smell the adhesive for the carpet-like material but I never did. A little extra padding or comfy stuff in the enclosed areas would be a bonus but nothing to really complain about in that regard. The "toys" it comes with are just a big puff ball on a piece of elastic cord but my cats also fell in love with those too so I still can't find anything to whine about regarding this tree. Worth every penny.

B7801 - excellent product/cats love it
I have four young cats (previously had 6, 2 additional older cats who have since passed away) so have many (7) cat trees throughout my house and patio to try to keep everyone active and happy. I have cat trees from 3 different manufacturers and I can say that I will never purchase from anyone other company but Amarkat. Their trees have been consistently high quality, solid, easy to assemble, all parts present and well-designed. There have been a number of issues with the others ranging from putting it together (one had to be put together top to bottom instead of bottom to top...really not fun or easy). Some have platforms which don't have raised edges (cats won't sleep on them, although they'll climb and sit on them) or the platforms are tiny. Some have condos without two openings. This might be a cat-specific thing but my cats won't go in the ones that don't have at least a second opening even if it's just a little window. The B7801 is perfect for my group. Two of them are turning into monster cats. The trees are solid (I have two of these side by side so all four can sleep on the highest perches at the same time). They run up them at high speed and we've never had any risk of toppling despite the height (they do rock a tiny bit, but nothing risky - I do have them against a solid wall). The trees come packaged neatly with good instructions, all parts present, and are easy to disassemble if needed. Given that I will keep these until they are destroyed (ok, four cats could eventually destroy anything) I find the cost to be a good investment. My older ones are in great shape (although the cats do manage to pull off the little toys, but hey, I just string them back up or they use them for regular toys) and given the pleasure they give the cats, they are well worth it. And the sisal is perfect for claw sharpening and since I introduced these to them when they were very young they have continued to use them and don't use my furniture. The sisal did finally come loose on their favorite pole on one of the old ones, but I just secured it back up with gorilla glue. Very happy with the product and my previous purchases from Amarkat.

Saved my life!!!
Thank you to the other reviewers for the very detailed feedback on the stability of this enormous cat tree, as well as the ease of assembly and the overall high quality of the carpets and the sisal posts. I bought this and it arrived the day before I was leaving for a TEN DAY vacation. I was a nervous wreck that my cats would be bored and destroy the house. I have 3 Bengal cats - 2 are 6 years old (twins) and my other Bengal is an 11 month old - all are EXTREMELY active. I had some "cat conflict" happening and it was recommended to me to immediately provide much more vertical space, with multiple entry points, which would reduce conflict. The tree I had before was not like this, and they would literally have to jump on and over each other to get on/off the tree. This tree absolutely saved everyone! While I was on vacation, I was able to watch my cats over my IP Camera pointed at the tree. Nearly every time I logged on to see them, they were on the tree playing, sleeping, or just hanging out. No fighting. One of the other reviewers highly recommended adding the "Amazing Purr Pad" as a cat bed inside the two little houses. I did this and my Alpha cat (boy) simply LOVED it and would not sleep anywhere else. Unfortunately, the fabric of the Purr Pad was too tempting for my little cat. He still eats inanimate objects wherever he can find them. So by the 3rd day, he had torn up and tried to eat the Purr Pad - so my cat sitter had to remove it, much to the dismay of my Alpha boy. I will experiment now with other "less edible" options. Also I must point out that the assembly was SO easy. It took me about 30 minutes, and I am a very petite. I did this alone with no help. One thing I have noticed is that when all 3 are jumping on/off it at the same time, it will wobble (Bengals are BIG CATS) so if you have big cats, make sure the space you install this into has a wall it can rest against. That keeps it sturdy during even the most violent playtimes! Finally - what really sold me on this Tree was this. I spoke to someone at Petco after I had just ordered it from Amazon (I didn't know they had this exact model, right in the store!). They told me that all the parts, i.e. the perches, the sisal posts, etc. are COMPLETELY replaceable. You can go to the Amarkat website if you have one tattered Sisal post, and they will sell you just that part. Talk about customer service! Well I was able to have a fantastic vacation, and the cats had a much happier and more stable home environment, so everybody wins. I would recommend this exact model (and I researched them ALL!). Save your kitties, save your sanity, and get this Tree!

My cat loves it but it shakes
Pros: Really tall for a cat tree - 77/78 inches tall, small 32" x 31" footprint makes it easy to fit into my small apartment; will really help keep a confined indoor cat happy. Cons: It shakes even if it's standing against wall. My cat loves this cat tree. I wanted something tall so my cat could get a "birds eye" view of the living room and window and a small footprint to fit into my small apartment. And spends a good amount of time on one of the upper perches, often napping up there. He doesn't spend much time in the condo though, and he uses the tree as a route to the window sill. I tried tying the toy balls to the top, but my cat was able to tear them down. But I then double knotted them on, and he hasn't been able to remove them. He'll spend a good amount of time playing with them at the top. You have to be sure to tighten the screws after your cat initially uses the tree on the first day. And then regularly check those screws. One problem is that the tree shakes when my cat is moving on it. You absolutely have to lean it against a wall. And while that hasn't dissuaded my cat from using it, it makes me worry sometime. He hasn't been able to topple it over yet. I used a combination of catnip and treats to encourage him to explore different parts of the tree. He wasn't eager to try it originally but now he loves it. The tree comes dissembled in a 57-pound box. Be careful when moving it that you don't hurt your back. It takes 30-40 minutes to assemble and it's pretty easy if you concentrate on following the graphical instructions. The most difficult part is screwing the sissal posts to other sissal posts. It's hard to get the screw part in the middle tight enough, but you'll do it if you persevere. Overall, I'm very satisfied with this purchase. The faux fur material is soft, and my cat does like to scratch his claws on the sissal posts, though I have a sissal scratching post already.

lots of pros, a few cons; all in all good value for the price, would buy again :-)
UPDATE after 1.5 years: This cat tree is still holding tight, and is a family favorite! We have to tighten the screws every few months--especially the one between the top pole and the box that it rests on, both because of the cats scattering up it, and because of my daughter spinning it to get the cats to face her (no, she is not supposed to do that)--it tends to loosen over time. It has lived through our beautiful stripey cat becoming full-grown and quite gloriously tough and pudgy, AND through the adoption of a new lil black kitten--which means LOTS of fierce up and down and aroundness and swats and jumps and knocks. They use the top spots the most--the top plate is the favorite napping spot in the house; the brown "cat scoop" is the second favorite--but they do use all parts of it, disincluding the ladder (which I love for its adorableness). We do still keep toys in the hammock for the most part--they get in that the least. Oh, and our stripey cat eats every string that she can find anywhere, so we had to trim the fray from the hanging rope so that she would stop ingesting it--it is bone-straight now and looks sad, but your cat is probably less ridiculous than ours. The screws not screwing flush to the surface has never seemed like an issue. The cats never sleep in the box (that has the protruding screw), but maybe they wouldn't anyways--they like being up high. Amarkat never sent me a replacement box for the one that was burned (just a sightly problem; no functional issues) during manufacture/shipping! :-( It does sway when they play vigorously--we thought about bolting it to the wall, but they seemed to like it just fine like this, and it's never come close to falling--I figure it's like that Ani song about buildings and bridges being made to bend in the wind because what doesn't bend breaks. <3 ORIGINAL REVIEW: Ours is Model A7802 in Silver Gray. We're one night and one morning into this purchase! Like others, I obsessed over this purchase and read a million reviews. I went with this one because our 3.5-month old kitten is a tiny dynamo who's all over all our shelves, the kitchen counters, all the plants, the screen door (all the way to the top!), etc., and this cat tree had the most things for her to "do" when balanced with quality and price. If anycat is gonna try the swingy hammock, it's her. And if not, well, we do need a place to put cat toys. THE PROS: We think it's absolutely beautiful in a silly way. It's not tan, thank goodness, and it makes our living room more visually interesting. The fabrics are absolutely luscious, even if they do look a little bit cat lady / middle schooler. The fabrics and ropes are all firmly attached to the boards and poles with no gaps or frays. The boards are all solid--some are solid wood and some are particleboard, but everything feels heavy and all stuck to itself, if that makes sense. The screws and tools (a tiny wrench and tiny allen wrench) were all included and none were missing, and my daughter was charmed by the little soft drawstring bag that they came in. <3. It took the two of us about an hour to put together, with her being super driven and delegatey. :-) You do have to push the screws through the fabric, like others said, but the holes in the fabric are started for you, and the implement that you're screwing in (a pole or whatever) covers the spot and will thus prevent any fraying. It was a fun family project. After assembly, it still seems solid and pretty. The kitten likes it! So far her main activity is to stand on top of the box and bat at the rope. She has also explored the rest and chewed on the rope ladder a little. She hasn't ventured into the brown "cat scoop" (daughter's term) or hammock, or slept in any part of it yet--she still prefers sleeping on top of our mouse's cage (super fun for the mouse) or curling into our potted plants SIGH--but my fingers are crossed. It was easy enough for me (alone) to push across our (carpeted) floor after assembly--it doesn't require you to get a moving crew if you want to rearrange your living room. THE CONS: It's a little wobbly--the structure itself is sound, but just tall, and with maybe a narrower and lighter base than would be completely ideal. When our energetic baby frolics around, it jiggles a bit. We wonder whether she'd feel more secure, and more likely to sleep on it, if it were more stable? We're going to look into bolting it to the wall and will get back to you. :-) There was visible glue (like hot glue) at many junctures--mostly at the places that the thick rope attached to the red-orange rubber stoppers. I was able to pull the worst of it off--you know hot glue--but a fair amount remains, which seems not entirely safe, especially since the kitten chews on the ropes. The box part (third level down from top) came with a brown streak across its outside, maybe half an inch wide and 4 inches long, that my daughter said "looks like feces," lol. Upon further inspection, it did not appear to be feces, but rather a place that the fur was burnt / melted during the manufacturing process. I trimmed it off with haircutting scissors, which worked--the pile of the fur is shallower there now, and that is visible, but because the fur is velvety / changes color when wiped from side to side, the mark looks normal/natural, and isn't noticable unless you get up close. Still, it happens to be on the side that faces the dining room and hallway, and if Armarkat wants to send me a replacement box, I won't fight them. :-) A few of the screws don't screw in flush to the surfaces--notably the two at the top of the ladder, which protrude above at about the height and size of a pencil eraser (slightly wider) and worry me a little--what if the kitten happens to hit her head on them or something? Can I cover them with something? Putty and fabric? Taking recommendations. Most of the other screws that show have wide flat tops like little dinner plates, so there isn't this problem, BUT the one in the far corner of the box (a dinner plate type) wouldn't go flush no matter how many times we tried. Maybe we weren't getting it into the hole straight--it's a very tough spot to reach and to manipulate within--but we tried SO many times. In the end, it remains about 4mm above the surface, and the little dinnerplate of it is about an inch across, so I worry that it will be uncomfortable if our kitten tries to curl up in the box. But maybe I'm being too precious. So far, a solid purchase! We'll update after some time has passed. :-)

I typically don't like to post a review until I've had the product ...
I typically don't like to post a review until I've had the product for a few years so i can be more informative for people who like to research before they buy. I can honestly say that this company, Armarkat, makes the best cat trees i have ever found. This was my 2nd purchase from them and i could not be more satisfied. The first one i purchased from them was still in perfect condition after 6 years and 2 cats. I didn't get rid of it due to any damage but due to the memories attached after the passing of my kitties. I purchased this about a month before we adopted a new kitten so i could have everything ready. He loved that cat tree and dominated it for almost 2 years before i had to buy a new one, but not due to any damage. These cat trees are incredibly sturdy and durable but i ran into one tiny problem that i never anticipated......my kitten grew into a very LARGE boy. He is a tuxedo cat but became the size of a Maine Coon. The problem came when he developed the habit of running from the kitchen into my room, where i keep the tree, and launching himself on it from about 2 feet away. The tree itself is heavy and sturdy but the base comes into question when you have a heavy cat that likes to go ballistic. I had it up against my wall where there are 3 huge windows for him to spy on the neighbors but he hit it with such force that it always looked like it was going to topple over. So i ended up having to purchase another that had a longer and weighted base. I basically had to get something for the Maine Coon breed. Bottom line, these trees are amazing and i highly recommend them. But definitely keep it up against a wall just in case your kitty likes to launch. I would also like to recommend to Armarkat to maybe think about making some longer bases for your trees, like more of a rectangle instead of a square, These trees are constructed so well and i would just like to see that sturdy construction concentrated on the base too. The pros for me are the material is nice and thick, no sharp corners, so easy to put together, easy to keep clean, sturdy construction, delivered on time and in perfect condition. Only con was the size and shape of the base as i said.

Still going strong.
I've had this cat tree (Armarkat Cat Tree Model B7701, Ivory) since July 2016. I have 3 cats and they all love it. I had a cat tree prior to this one but the fabric that covered the platforms was very slick and my cats didn't care for it and never used it. I got this Armarkat Cat Tree because of the good reviews and it was an immediate success. It has a lot of parts because of all the tiers but it was pretty straightforward and easy to assemble which I did by myself. The fabric is thick and the kind that cats love to scratch but is still soft. It gets frequent daily use. They scratch on it, play on it, and sleep on it. It is very sturdy. It's also nice and tall so the cats sit at the top and love to look down at everything going on around them. Nothing has ever broken except the dangle toys. The toys were such a hit that the cats eventually just chewed through the little elastic cord but that's not why I bought the tree. My cats are finally starting to wear through the fabric in some areas but it's just starting to thin out and is still holding up. Since my cats are constantly running up and down it, I will occasionally have to tighten down the bolts which loosen over time but not a big deal, and, again, it has never come apart or ever failed. The only unfortunate thing is that this tree has doubled in price since I bought it. I suppose that's what happens when you have this kind of inflation but it is a shame it is so expensive now. It was very reasonably priced before and now, not so much. That being said, if you are willing to pay the money, you will get a high-quality cat tree that will last you many years. The picture I included I just took so this is what it looks like now after 7 years of heavy use.

My 2 Bengals love it!
I had a cheaper cat tree before but it didn't last long. This one is prettier than the picture and it's worth it.

Great product
My cats are in love with this tree. It is huge and they spend most nights on the top shelves. They are both fairly large cats (12 lbs each) but the base of the tree is quite large and therefore very sturdy. I would recommend this product to anyone with cats, particularly those who enjoy sleeping up high.

Stabiler Kratzbaum, gute Verarbeitung

Sturdy, very easy to put together
This cat tree was everything everyone wrote it would be. Sturdy, very easy to put together, great quality, very reasonably priced, material is grand and doesn't shed or leave any bits, the scratching posts are really sturdy and again no shedding and my cat is easily able to run up and down and thru the hole and in and out of the house and onto all the platforms. The cat loves it and so do I - it even looks nice too. I got this tree because of all the outstanding reviews for it and they were spot on. Amazon were a day late with delivery but their staff were super professional, very apologetic, offered me an extra month free prime and followed up to make sure I got it-great service! THANK YOU

The tree itself is a good tree. Shipment was... well... Bad
This tree itself is beautifull. I can't wait for my cat to see it. I'll post an update when he gets on it. It seems stable for now and it is really tall and great in my living room. If you buy this tree, it's a good one and it is pretty. UPDATE: My two cats LOVEs it. They are on it all the time, they sleep all the time in it. My bengal actually still fits in the basket, but i'm scared he's going to break it one day. It hasn't yet so it's a plus. The bad side of this are on the shipment but I don't know who's fault it is. Pros: It arrived in 4 days when it was actually supposed to arrive in 10. Cons: The box arrived completly openned and ripped, No atempt was even made to close it with tape... at least... I mean... but nothing was missing by chance. The condo corner was broken. The wood was cracked and ripped... Kind of disapointed in that. We decided to keep it as is, but for 200$ I would have liked for this to actually be in perfect condition. I don't know at what point the box got ripped openned, or the condo broken but some attention to this would have been appreciated at least. I don't know who's fault it is (amazon, purolator or Armakat) but someone didn't care enough.
