Sooo, trying something else, I bought this new book series, called The Prince Warriors to read to my boys at bedtime. We just finished the first book of the series tonight.Oh. My. Goodness. This book was soooo good!!! The boys and I did not want to stop. We didn’t just read at bedtime, we read before school, we read when they came home from school, AND of course we read at bedtime— and sometimes, I’d even sneak a chapter or two in after the boys went to bed! 😂This is a fictional book that deals with spiritual warfare and helps kids to be aware of the battles that lurk in the spirit realm. It is NOT scary at all. Priscilla Shirer was so creative in how she wrote these books! It’s a book that is geared toward boys, but girls can totally get into it too. I cannot say enough about it. There are a lot of scripture references and it has really helped the boys understand the things that I have been trying to teach them about why they fight with each other, and that people aren’t our enemies. Mommas of boys— elementary age thru middle school: this is a must read!!! Actually I think the whole family could enjoy reading this together!! We sure did. And we’re moving right on to book #2 tomorrow!!! It’s full of adventure, comedy, drama, and the end is very heart warming!!! I got teary eyed as I read the last few pages aloud! 😭I wanted to share this with you all because the enemy is working overtime to keep us parents busy and distracted from spending quality time with our kids! And they need us now more than ever!! This is a fun way to spend time with our kids. I was never much of a reader before this. But, I have found, that my boys actually started listening to me better since reading. (I think before they had just begun to tune me out). And it has given all of us the desire to open our bibles. Priscilla Shirer wrote a kids’ devotional and kids’ Bible studies that coincide with the book! Our studies arrive tomorrow. ♥️ ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Divinely inspired, amazing book series *by P***A on Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on November 25, 2020* This is truly a great adventure read for both boys and girls. It is fun to hear how the characters grow in the story line. Each have their faults (like all of us) but also have great strengths individually, but also shine when they work together as a team. It is also nice to be able to read a book series together and/or feel comfortable as a parent that my child is not reading anything that is inappropriate.
