Well worth the money.
Bought this to deter ants and to use in my homemade hand sanitizer. It worked very well for both applications. Just a little goes a long way. Very potent and long lasting scent. Not expensive for how much you get

I have found this to be very potent and effective as a rodent deterrent
update: i just received my third or probably fourth bottle of this peppermint oil, and this time it doesn't appear to be as strong. it doesn't offend my nose if i get too close. i have placed soaked samples from this bottle and the last bottle (as a comparison) on vinyl sheeting to see if either or both reacts, i.e., start to dissolve the plastic, which has happened with this product in the past. thing is with essential oils, at any time the manufacturer can start cutting the supposedly uncut oil. i tried to contact the manufacturer and didn't see a path to do it. if there is no reaction to the 12 gauge plastic by tomorrow, i'll post it and lower the stars. if there is a strong reaction to the plastic, i'll remove this update and/or keep the stars at 5. i'm using this to keep mice out of an empty house, had tried several brands of supposedly uncut peppermint oil until i found this one. the original review remains below. i have found this to be very potent and effective as a rodent deterrent. I have compared several different products, and this one has been the strongest. When I put a cotton ball soaked with this on a plastic tablecloth it starts to disintegrate the plastic right away. The smell sticks around a long time. My mom's car is sitting without being started in our driveway, and we live on a mountain. I put a large cotton ball soaked with this underneath her hood on a metal piece that covers the air filter. You can smell that peppermint in her driveway without opening the hood and when the hood is open there are no animal signs. It's probably protecting the vehicle right next to hers as well. Then I read about adding a mix of peppermint essential oil and water and maybe some lemon essential oil to diatomaceous earth, and mixing it into a paste, because the diatomaceous earth holds on to the scent longer, and you can revive when needed by moistening it and adding a little bit more essential oil. I made that mixture this morning with this peppermint essential oil and took it around my moms house to leave a little gift of hospitality to rodent holes any place I could find that they could get under the house or where they had dug a hole. When you hear and read that peppermint oil doesn't work for rodents, I am convinced it's because there's a lot crap out there sold as pure uncut peppermint oil. Granted this is in plastic, so I will not cook with it. But I just got it to offend mice and spiders and flies. wasps, bees, unwelcome critters generally. your moms house is empty. Otherwise I wouldn't fill it with the scent of peppermint. I have peppermint balls and now little lumps of this diatomaceous earth with peppermint all over the house sitting on glass saucers to fill the scent of the house with peppermint. This way, we don't have to kill things; we just cause them to not want to be in the space. did I say that I had to try several brands to find a strong one like this? I think Now is pretty good, and it comes in glass, but it's more expensive. I'm not sure if it used to be or if it went up with Covid. If I was going to cook with it AND use it as a rodent deterrent, I would buy the Now brand.

Strong & Pricey
Upon receiving the product, I was pleasantly surprised by its timely delivery. However, I was not anticipating a larger container for the price. The price should be adjusted considering the size of the container. The peppermint scent is delightful, and a small amount is sufficient due to the potency of the peppermint. Regarding its effectiveness in repelling insects, I cannot provide an accurate assessment at this time. I have only sprayed the product to offer an honest review, and I am awaiting the results to determine its insect-repelling capabilities. Nevertheless, I can confirm that the product effectively opens up the sinuses and leaves your home smelling clean. I’m giving 4 stars due to the cost I will share the actual container size . Hope this helps someone.

Gets rid of Chicago Rats
I used this as a rat deterrent in Chicago when traps and sonic noise, etc of all kinds did not work for 2 years straight. We are in between restaurants and construction dug up a nest nearby, so I’d walk outside at 6pm and they’d already be out waddling around our yard like they owned the place. Every single night and then every morning I would have to go out and clean up the rat poop trails before allowing our kid to play on the back patio. It was absurd and I was not gonna let another summer go by having to live like this! I poured 1/3 of the bottle every night around the patio perimeter, later reordered and sprayed the patio perimeter with a 16 oz glass spray bottle to make it easier and less messy. It’s been 8 days straight of 0 rat poop trails! Every morning I wake up surprised and amazed after 2 years of Chicago rats! It’s very strong so make sure to keep it in a well ventilated area like outdoors where pets or toddlers won’t ingest or walk barefoot. Indoors we will use a diluted spray, but our biggest concern was stopping the poop trails which were “telling” the rats it was safe route. My hope is we will do this for a while longer then possibly switch to clove oil so bees won’t get attracted to the mint scent during the day and ruin daytime enjoyment too. So, if you are in Chicago and know these issues, then you know most things rarely work and nothing works this quickly.

No more mothballs, no more mice and the trailer smells good
I have used this at my home and my camper for the last well this will be my third year and I have not had any problems with rodents getting in my camper anymore. I spray it once in the spring when I arrive and then again once in the fall when I leave. I had also purchased the small bottle of essential peppermint oil to pour into bottle caps with cotton balls and spread them throughout the camper. And boy does it smell nice when I open up for the season

I purchased this item over a year ago when it was slightly less expensive. It has a delightful, strong scent and offers great value for the price. I highly recommend it and would definitely buy it again.

Purchased this to use as an anti-mouse/rodent device in vehicles stored over the winter. The product is very strong/concentrated and should do the job. Much more economical than buying the tiny amounts typically sold at pharmacies or health food stores.

Bought this for mouse they apparently hate the smell. It is strong but you become accustomed to it after a while. And if it did help get rid of the mouse then any smell is easy to deal with in my book. Will order again!!
