Works Unbelievably Well!
Dramatically and drastically reduced the number of flies around my porch. It took a couple days to really take off, but once it did, it WORKED. I have a stray cat who likes to poop under the porch where I can't reach to clean, and flies love it to the point where they would get into the house, causing a flymaggedon. It was so bad that I didn't really spend time on the porch. Now there are just a few here and there, and the jar is FULL. Now it's a different type of flymaggedon, and I haven't had any in the house in a while! I agree with others that you will want to place it around the corner or around the perimeter of your property. It isn't AS stinky as I expected (you honestly have to be pretty close to smell it once it's a bit filled up), but you wouldn't want to be near it for too long. I placed it in the car port and it's been extremely helpful. I was worried the smell would bother the neighbors but, like I said, it honestly is not that bad (it's stinkier when you first put it up, then the flies kind of cover the smell a bit). It's also wise to place it a distance away because there will be flies buzzing around it trying to get in. I am very excited that I can enjoy being outside again!!

Catches a lot of flys
Great chicken entertainment when hung in the coop. Just make sure the lid is on tight.

10/10. Horrifying. Effective. Would absolutely buy again. CAN NOT RECOMMEND ENOUGH.
Iโve been using four of these Starbar fly traps around the perimeter of my property for several years now, and the difference is absolutely night and day. This year I put them out early, and by June Iโve already had to empty all four of them at least once. These things WORK.I used to need one of those bug net hats just to mow my lawn. Now I can go outside and play with my dog with hardly any flies, gnats, or even mosquitoes bothering me.Fair warning: these traps smell like a biological weapon once they get going. Do NOT hang them near your porch unless you want your patio to smell like a swamp demon died in a protein shake. Keep them away from the house and let them intercept the flies before they get to you.At this point I basically have four biohazard grenades hanging around my property and the local insect apocalypse has not just noticeably diminished, it's almost non-existent.YES it sucks to have to deal with them. YES they smell like death warmed over. But if you hate flies as much as I do, it's a MINOR inconvenience.10/10. Horrifying. Effective. Would absolutely buy again. CAN NOT RECOMMEND ENOUGH.

Works too well...
Worked too well unfortunately. Filled up very quickly with flies, then maggots. Had to dispose of the whole thing, because too nasty to try and dump out the flies and living maggots. The smell to begin with is bad, but just imagine how much worse with the maggots. Easy to initially set up, but not so much the disposal part.

The ultimate fly trap
This thing stinks it smells like something died in the bucket. It smells so rotten and the flies absolutely love it. It's like the flies are just having a party in that thing. All of the flies in the neighborhood it's like they pile into that thing. They will fill that thing up so fast it's like you need a ton of these because I swear it summons flies out of thin air I don't even know where they're coming from. This is probably the strongest fly trap i've ever seen in my life. Be sure to empty it out the moment it gets full because they will try to breed in there if it gets too full and it gets gross. The more dead flies it gets the smellier it gets and the flies love the stinky dead fly water so you get even more flies going into it.

AMAZING PRODUCT!
I put this product out yesterday afternoon. My neighbors have backyard chickens and I feed TNR/ feed cats. I saw the jar laying on its side this morning. The lid was closed. I have no idea how long it had been like that. Several hundred flies already in the trap!!!!!!! This product deserves ten stars! (This picture show trap less than 24 hours after I set it outside!)

Easy set up!
I like the big size. I watched a video of a smart women that put a plastic bag inside so when it came time she could tie it off and toss it in the trash and insert a new bag with the water and chemicals and skew on the cap ready to go again without having to buy the whole apparatus. I used a food storage 1 gal baggie, cut the seal off, and inserted it into the container, a perfect fit. Be sure you have a good hold on the bag when you go to pull it out or you will have a nasty mess to clean up, it beats cleaning it out of dead flys in stinking solution and where do you dump it too? I will be sure to put in a secondary bag or box and then put in the trash can. You can just push the top down and throw the whole thing away, but that's going to turn into a big expense.

Expensive and doesnt work
For 50 bucks it should do something. 3 weeks after use, it has only killed 3 flies.
