WEATHER STATION, WORKS GREAT
WORKS AND LOOKS GREAT

Easy to read, bright digital display
This weather station comes with an AC adapter, an outdoor remote sensor, and instruction booklet. Set-up is easy, but may be challenging to some without the instruction booklet. The weather station has a colorful, bright display that’s very easy to read. It shows time and temperature, date, weather forecasts, both indoor and outdoor humidity levels, and more. Alerts can be customized for temperatures that exceed or fall below your set limits. The casing feels a little on the cheap plastic side, but it looks good and the feel is irrelevant once it’s in position. The accuracy of the outdoor temperature readings depends largely on where you position the remote sensor. I originally installed it on the southeast side of my house, but the temperature showed about 10°F higher than the weather app on my phone. After moving it to the north side of my house, the temperature display was within 3 degrees with the weather app, which is acceptable for my needs. The variance probably is due to the differences between the weather station’s feeding my weather app and the exact location of the remote sensor.

Not useful without the AC adapter
I debate whether this deserves a 2 or a 4 and decided to give it a 4. I was looking for a large display digit wall clock that could also show temperature, humidity, etc. (besides time.) This one seemed to do it all. However, after receiving it and setting it up, I was very disappointed. 1. I am not sure whether what I have is a defect or it's been designed this way, but this thing doesn't show anything unless it's plugged into a power outlet. With only the battery, I have to press a button to make all display show. (And the display disappears after one second.) Otherwise, nothing would show on the display. So I don't know how to make the display show like picture 5: mounted on the wall without using an AC adapter while still showing everything on the display. 2. It's much smaller than what I have expected, or it's much smaller than what's shown in the pictures. I guess it's my fault that I didn't pay attention to the product dimension listed in the description. From the pictures, I expect the size to be twice as what it actually is. 3. Even though it displays everything I want it to display, the time display is tiny if you want to use it as a wall clock. It's a good size as a desktop clock. The temperature displays are in good size. I guess that's because it's more of a forecast station than a clock judging by its name, so it's my fault that I didn't pay attention to the name. 4. The color scheme is not well designed. During the day (when there is no need for the back lit), the display is exactly as shown in the profile picture. However, at night, when the back lit is on, the color scheme makes the display hard to read. The time display (in neon green) is on a shade of green, the temperature displays (in white) are on a shade of white, and the humidity displays (in blue) are on a shade of blue. I am not sure why that is the case. Is the one I have a defect? Of course, if you want a forecast station, it servers the purpose: It displays indoor and outdoor temp as well as indoor and outdoor humidity, and the temperature displays are in good size, i.e., the display is not hard to read even if it's mounted on the wall. (Then my only compliant would be that it has to be plugged into a power outlet.) I have not verified the accuracy of the forecast, but I think accuracy is acceptable. So, the 4 is for using it as a forecast station, and the 2 is for using it as a wall clock, which is why I bought this, I am going to return it.

Worth the money.
Bought this La Crosse Technology Wireless Atomic Digital Color Forecast Station for my mom, and she’s still using it to this day. It’s reliable, easy to read, and very accurate. She loves checking the forecast and temperature every day, and it’s held up great over time. A thoughtful purchase that turned out to be a long-term favorite—highly recommended.

Outstanding!
If you REALLY want to know what the weather is going to be like, ask an old guy with injuries from younger years. I guarantee he'll know a whole lot better than forecaster's or this thing!! Yep, my shoulders hurt like H***.......it's gonna rain. Man, my knee is total crap today.....guess a snow storm is on the way. I replaced a very old Atmoix clock, where the outdoor sensor went bad. This LaCrosse weather station.clock - Excellent - SUPER simple setup if you have ever set up one of these before......even if you haven't, it's easy. Out of the box I spent no more than 3-5 minutes putting batteries in, setting a screw into the wall, prepping the outdoor sensor, setting all the parameters...time/date/daylight savings, CST time zone, etc. It's nice and bright when plugged in. Everything worked within minutes. I did not setup alerts for temps or storms. I have a weather radio for that. I would buy another if I needed one. POSITIVE: - Clean, bright display when plugged in - Multi-color is nice for separation of different displays - Easy setup - Time is accurate - Temp/humidity is reasonably accurate (1-2 degrees is acceptable) NEGATIVE: - Not much! With the realization that it is a 'tendency", it says it is going to rain a LOT more than it actually is. - I know this is supposed to be more of a weather station than a clock, but the time/date is pretty small. It's hard to read from a distance. If they switched the weather tendency display with the clock display, it would be easier to read......oh well. It's a great little unit overall.

GREAT FOR THE PRICE!!
For about $40, its a great little unit with a nice display. I was a little reserve on ordering the product as I have read all the bad reviews. I seems to be fairly accurate, not going to say fully accurate but I have only have my phone to compare it to, and its always been within a couple degrees considering the airport to about 7 miles away which does the reporting. As far as the remote sensor, I was even more apprehensive because I wanted to use this in my shop which has steel walls and a cell phone signal even has a hard penetrating the walls. My remote sensor is about 40' away and never had a problem with it communicating with the base. I would assume the sensor is NOT fully water tight as per the instructions say to locate it where rain cannot directly get to it. I just used a zip tie under an eve of the house which seemed to work great. The atomic clock has not once lost its signal or lost time, which I've had other brands do. Some people seem to think that this has a picture on the display of the forecast, which is wrong. Its merely telling you the current barometric pressures. Sunny and flowers is high pressure, clouds and lightning is low pressure, its not a reflection of what the weather is doing outside. The display is bright, colorful, and easy to read... kind of.. I have this unit on a table and can read it fine either sitting or standing, harder to read the display from the side to side angles, or if you are down lower than the unit itself. Must be plugged in to see the display, but does have battery backup so you dont have to redo the setup. The setup itself was really easy as well. Ive had this unit for about 5 months.

Looks good but……..
Unfortunately, it is not very accurate. In spite of us having placed the sensor out of direct sunlight and placing it in a cover device that the manufacturer sells the temperature and humidity are rarely accurate. I can say an odd thing has occurred, the indoor humidity sensor after almost 2 years of being stuck on 29% suddenly started working. The level is within the range of a more technically superior sensor. I have no clue why it suddenly started working but I am happy it did. None of these devices are really easy to set up. Unfortunately, there are always a lot of steps to follow before you can be assured that you have it setup properly. One thing I do like about it is the screen is easy to read and gives you its inaccurate information at a glance. Other brands could learn from this unit in this regard. It is a part of the appeal of the device that got me to purchase it. Another criticism of the device is that it can be raining outside and yet the unit indicates that it is merely cloudy. It is often true of the reverse. The unit indicates that it is raining when in fact it is cloudy and no rain is predicted. Another criticism of this device and thus far every other brand is that the actual screen size is small because they make the case so big. This is cheap technology and there is no reason for them scrimping on actual screen size.

AWESOME Weather station
This is what i want it for a long time!!!! Pros: - Very easy to read information during the day or at night - Works plugged in and also with batteries - Accurate readings most of the time - Easy to follow instructions - 2 AA batteries are required for the sensor - Very cool Animated Forecast background Cons: - None so far Overall we like this unit at home, we are able to see the outdoor and indoor temperatures at a glance. It helps us predict what we can expect for the day!!! I know we all have smartphones and we can get the weather updates that way buy having it hanging on your wall or just displayed on a table makes it so much easier and at the same time looks great. My 6 year learned to tell us the weather on a daily basis, great way to teach your kids My friend thought it was a high end weather station, i mean PRICE wise jajaaja he went ahead and purchased one after checking the price. ****Quick note**** I applied clear tape all around the wireless sensor that is setup outside my door just to prevent any water getting into the unit, BE CAREFUL NOT to tape the actual sensor opening i left that open for obvious reasons!!!
