Product description Ceiling Fan Switch Model: ZE-208s. 3 Speed 4 Wire Switch with 4 Pre-Installed Wires. Fan replacement part function : OFF, L-1, L-2, L-3 Switch Function : OFF, High, Medium, Low. This fan switch is compatible with Hunter, Hampton Bay, harbor breeze, Westinghouse Fans etc. Zing Ear ZE-208S Wiring Instructions Notes Before rewiring any ceiling fan,turn off electrical current at source by switching off circuit breakers. WARNING:Failure to disconnect power supply to ceiling fan may result in serious injury or death. 1.Check wires and make sure to observe and write down what wire color from the fan is connected to what terminal number on fan switch(1,2,3,L) 2.Cut the four wires from the existing fan switch using wire stripper and set it away. 3.Strip wires around 1/2 inch. 4.Connect the Black wire (L) from the new fan switch to wire noted in step 1. 5.Connect the Red wire (1) from the new fan switch to wire noted in step 1. 6.Connect the Blue wire (2)from the new fan switch to wire noted in step 1. 7.Connect the White wire (2)from the new fan switch to wire noted in step 1. Review: Back running again. - Got me up and running in no time. The wire colors on the switch were different than on my fan which I knew going in. I asked AI to match them for me which it did albeit backwards from what it used to be. So 1st pull is slowest speed and 3rd pull is top speed. 2nd pull stayed middle speed. My wife said she preferred it that way so that’s how I left it. I was really happy that the wire ends were already pre stripped saving time for me. I use heat shrink wire connectors and with those it took me maybe 10 minutes to get it connected, tested and all buttoned back up again.

Got me up and running in no time. The wire colors on the switch were different than on my fan which I knew going in. I asked AI to match them for me which it did albeit backwards from what it used to be. So 1st pull is slowest speed and 3rd pull is top speed. 2nd pull stayed middle speed. My wife said she preferred it that way so that’s how I left it. I was really happy that the wire ends were already pre stripped saving time for me. I use heat shrink wire connectors and with those it took me maybe 10 minutes to get it connected, tested and all buttoned back up again.

Installed in 30 plus year old ceiling fan and it worked just fine. Keep in mind wire colors may not match what's in your fan. Just leave the bad switch in place, do 1 wire at a time to the new switch then pull the old switch out, mount the new one. If you have a light assembly below, don't let it hang by its wires. Disconnect and get it out of your way first.
