KIKKERLAND 3-D Bird Playing Cards (GG113)

The deck contains the standard 52 cards plus Joker in a basic thin cardboard box. The backs of the cards are all identical, so the deck is suitable for playing. The front displays dual images of Audibon birds via a classic lenticular pattern in plastic. The images are authentic and will excite bird lovers. But the plastic makes the cards too slippery for any kind of competitive play - it's more of a novelty item to fascinate kids and relatives with but I would not use it for bridge or poker or any kind of amateur gambling activity - cheap plasticized paper decks are much more suitable for that purpose. The plastic is also likely to increase wear and tear, so, to keep the cards in mint condition they are better suited for display than play. Of course, to make room for the bird images, the standard card images had been scrubbed, leaving only the corner markers. That makes glancing recognition much more difficult. But it is a high-quality novelty deck and an excellent gift.

Very beautiful nice to play with.

Bought these as a gift for a friend after the cat version of these cards wore out. The bird pictures are great, and the plastic was nice and thick. However, the back of the cards started chipping after about 2 months or less. Granted my friend plays rummy almost everyday, and I play rummy with her at least once a week or so. So if you're not playing as much your mileage may vary. But for the price?? She now has less expensive Bicycle cards that have lasted longer. Just not as pretty.

Bought these for my bird watching sister as Christmas gift and she is over the moon about them. Super high quality and fun.
