Would I be able to use the FX with regular vinyl (without rekordbox or a computer)?

This mixer is stand alone, meaning you don't need to use Rekordbox (computer) to use it at it's full potential unless you're using DVS, which the mixer comes pack with two keys, one for Rekordbox 5 and the other to unlock DVS. The color FX works with only channel one and two, while the beat effects works for master, channel 1/2, aux, and mic. So in short, Yes. It will work with regular vinyl and CDJs, whatever you plug into the RCA port to the receptive channels will work.

Is it compatible with serato dj software?

I guess it is full compatible through MIDI mapping but has not got a native interaction. I will check MIDI mapping with Serato DJ within these days.
