So, the vendor contacted me and sent a replacement. Here is my evaluation..This Bluetooth keyboard will only work on a smart phone. It will not connect to a PC..For its purposes, the device is competent. It is compact and small size. So, the device will fit inside a purse without any problems. The key arrangement is logical and easy to understand, plus there is back-lighting. Performance is not as good as my IBM Model M, but better than the Chiclets-type in my Dell laptops. It installs without any problems..Vive Comb's customer service is excellent. If the product is not satisfactory, a refund or replacement will be executed..Despite the positives, I have two concerns. First, the construction material is flexible plastic. It does not feel durable. Second, the product needs a case or protective cover during transport. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ What a great keyboard and stand combo. *by D***T on September 1, 2017* If you type a lot on your phone or tablet, you are going to absolutely love this combo keyboard and stand. I type a lot on my phone and the older I get the harder it is to type quickly. I sometimes use talk to text, but when I travel on the metro, it's too loud in the background. I tried this because I fat finger a lot of words and have to go back and edit. This takes way too long and forces me to limit what I type. When I used this combo, setting it up on my lap, it worked great. I just used a normal size notebook to place underneath. The stand is very stable and the keyboard is really comfortable. It's a perfect fit when I travel and don't want to break out a full-size laptop or work on my desktop. Set up - easy; keyboard use - comfortable and very responsive keys; stand is stable and supports all my tablets and phones; price - excellent (lowest quality set I found). I like being able to adjust (six positions) the stand position, based upon where I am working. The backlit color options is a nice feature and helpful when working in a low light environment. I definitely recommend this product for anyone typing on tablets or smartphones regularly. I like the added touch of the charging cable being added to the kit. I specially love the backlit feature. I use it at meetings to take notes quickly. It connects quickly and easily to my Amazon Fire HD 8 tablet. The only issue I've had with it is one lady complaining that my typing was too loud and it distracted her......... But I don't know if that's my problem or hers. I will keep using it until I get complaints from more people and then maybe I'll look into a "quieter" keyboard. I honestly don't feel it's very loud, I tried typing with less force since I'm used to typing with some force on a desktop keyboard and maybe that's where the problem is. But other than that I have no issues with this and the price is amazing for all the features it has.
