E. Gerber Full Back Boards - Standard - 50ct Pack

These E. Gerber full-backs are a little more expensive than other comic book boards but in my opinion the cost is worth it because the quality is so much better than ordinary boards. These full-backs are more than twice the thickness of ordinary boards which makes them far more sturdy. They will keep your comics straight and flat. I also like that both sides have the matte, non-glossy finish because I’ve read that over time the ink on some comic book covers will come off if placed against the glossy side of boards. The seller also did a great job with packing these boards securely for shipping. They arrived on time too. I’m very pleased with both item and seller.

Every 10 years my comic collection goes through a rebagging and reboarding process. Full backs are a critical part of that. Sturdy, acid free and combined with mylites, are perfect for my higher value books. E. Gerber and their products are highly respected in archival storage and I wouldn’t consider doing it any other way.

These really are the best

I've always used the standard comic book backboards- the crisp white ones with one glossy side and one matte side. I recently began the process of re-bagging and boarding my old collection. I found these boards had some good reviews so I decided to give them a shot. The first thing I noticed was they're surface texture. These have almost a rough, matte, finish on both the front and back side. These boards are also much thicker than my previous boards (maybe twice as thick?). These definitely make my comics feel very sturdy and safe. Combined with the Mylites 4 bags, I now feel that my comics are safe and well protected enough to pull out of the box and show off to friends every now and then
