Does this work with iMacs?

Wiil this cable enable me to watch something from a samsung s8 through my projector with a vga connection (i have speakers)?

VGA does not carry sound, so the speakers will need to be connected separately. As for whether the Samsung S8 can send an mage via it's usb c connection I cannot say, but if it can, then yes, this should allow you to display that on a vga monitor.

Will this work with a Samsung Tab A?

Possibly, but please note that if you are connecting to a TV, VGA will only transfer video - no sound will be transmitted.

I just got this cable usb-c to vga, but when i connect it to my laptop (macbook pro) the laptop screen goes black, i tried the cable with 3 devices

Can't explain why its not working; Mine is fine on initial connection ; true the screen does go black temporarily when making the initial; comnmncection but the both screens switch on; Could it be something with your display settings on your MacBook Pro? Or perhaps there is just a fault with your particular cable and it should be exchanged.
