If you want a large mat, one that allows you to have ample room to work on, this will fit the bill. The surface is definitely nonstick. The thickness allows one to easily roll up the mat or fold it for storage. My wife has only words of praise & that she loves loves loves her new mat. Happy wife, happy life ### ⭐⭐ Too thin *by S***I on Reviewed in the United States on January 25, 2019* This mat is a nice size for baking bread and pie, but it is very thin and it is extremely difficult to get it to lay flat on your countertop. It is so thin that it traps large bubbles underneath. After 5 minutes of trying to get it to lay smooth, I gave up. Also, please note this size mat cannot be rolled for storage it needs to be folded which then creates creases in the mat which then also affects it’s ability to lay flat. It’s simply to thin, I will return it and look for a similar product that is thicker. The mat lived up to all the product descriptions and I immediately loved it! It is sturdy, flexible and while large, easy enough to hand wash in my kitchen sink. But I soon found I needed to write Dough Cuts about a problem I experienced.After the first use and doing a hand washing to clean it, I noted a small discoloration on the mat and found that it was caused by a tiny puncture that apparently held water between the layers. I also noted three other areas in the mat that had very slight, tiny pricks. I used the mat a second time and after that use and washing, the original discoloration was a bit bigger than when I originally saw it. I realized that this situation was an indicator that I should not expect it to last for any length of time.The overall product was impressive and just perfect for my needs, so I wrote Dough Cuts about what I experienced and was surprised to get a quick response. Not only did I get a Thank You for alerting them to a potential manufacturing issue but they were extremely generous in not only refunding my purchase price but replaced the defective mat!I just finished using the new mat and am more than delighted with this product and especially Dough Cuts for their special attention!
